The Toyota Highlander and the Saturn Vue are both high-quality vehicles, but they don't have the kind of exceptional gas mileage I would have expected from a hybrid. The Escape does a little better on gas mileage, but according to Consumer Reports it's had reliability problems, so I wouldn't recommend it. The Saturn probably offers the most bang for the buck, but the hybrid model is brand new so I don't know if reliability figures are available yet.

Unless you drive sixty-seventy percent of the time on the highway a hybrid won't do you much good.

That said-- I would pick the Saturn, I own a regular Vue and love it...

Note 2008 Vues are different cars than before,Opel design instead of Saturn

I have a 2005

They're rated at 34 mpg city FWD, but if you drive it right you can achieve 40-45!

Porsche Cayenne....it's sexy! Don't come out for awhile though, and is very pricey!
