you may have better results if you type in paxil. yes, research shows that a small amount does go into the baby. i personally wouldn't do it, but it's a choice you have to make. it would depend on why you take it. really need to discuss it with your doctors and make them aware of your situation.
i'm not sure i understand why you are taking a time released medication twice a day. i say this because there may be a way to minimize the amount your baby gets by changing the timing of when you take your meds and the time you feed your baby.

maybe you can use a breast pump to obtain the milk at the least risky time your medication is active.
whatever you decide, do not stop taking this medication abruptly. the weaning process could take from six to ten weeks. good luck.

try typing in contraindications of paxil and breastfeeding into your browser.

As with any drug/medication, what goes into your body is put out of your body. So you just have to remember that you are possibly exposing your baby to the effects of a drug that treats ranges from depression to anti-psychotic uses. This also comes with a fair amount of side effects. This should be discussed as soon as possible with your doctor/the prescriber of the medication so that possible alternative treatements or even switching to formula-feeding can be assessed.
