1. Deuteronomy 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every [word] that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

This is from Moses's "swan song", he is going back over the history of the exodus from Egypt to the Israelites. Here he's showing how God provided for them while they were wandering in the desert, and at the same time changed their hearts.

2. Ecclesiastes 1:8 All things [are] full of labour; man cannot utter [it]: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.

Solomon is lamenting the hardships in life.

3. Ecc 1:15 [That which is] crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.

4. Ecc 1:18 For in much wisdom [is] much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.

More of the same. His theme in this book is that life is vain, and he talks about the downsides of the things that are thought of as positive in this life.

Hi,
Here are the verses you ask about, per the King James Bible. To tell you what they mean is very hard. Write me if you would like to hear what I think the Bible has to say about this.
(Deuteronomy 8:3 - And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. )

(Ecclesiastes 1:8 - All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.)
(Ecclesiastes 1:15 - That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.)

(Ecclesiastes 1:18 - For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.)
