tape worm is a parasite that grows inside of you as it eats all of your food and nutrients. You would have a lot of abdominal discomfort as it grows.
I don't know if paper will cause a tape worm. Fish, raw meat, walking barefoot outside are other ways of getting a tape worm.
There are natural substances at your local health store that could cleanse and kill a tape worm. The parasite would die and you will feel ill until you pass it all out of you. It will come out your butt piece by piece and can take about a month before it is all gone.
I don't know if it will show on an ultrasound, but I think it would be noticeable if they did an abdominal ultrasound or they can do an endo which they would be able to see your intestines and stomach.
A respiratory infection is one that would be in your chest.
