You realize of course that a real Vulcan Mini-gun weighs several hundred pounds, cost near $100,000.00, and will easily shot off $10,000.00 worth of ammo in a minute or two, and that you will have to have a BATF Class III Destructive Devises permit.

If all of those things are acceptable, and afforcable, go for it! I'd love to come help you burn a few hundred thousand rounds of ammo some time.

I think you are just tossing this question to see whether people will go like "heck yeah! buy it!" or whatever, but sorry to ruin your thoughts, because there is no such thing as a portable minigun, nor is there a minigun for civilians.

But if you had a minigun, THAT WOULD ROCK! YOU COULD FIRE LIKE 6000 ROUNDS PER MINUTE (NOT JOKING) AND MOW DOWN TREES AND GRASS AND STOP SIGNS LIKE A CHAINSAW CUTTING DOWN A FLOWER! YOU'D BE LIKE BLAZING AND BLOWING UP STUFF UNTIL YOU HIT A PERSON AND THEN YOU EITHER GO TO JAIL OR MOW DOWN THE POLICE PEOPLE AND END UP STUCK IN YOUR HOUSE WITH A GIANT MINIGUN AND NO AMMO.

Ever think of buying a tank or a jet plane or a missile-equiped helicopter? Awesome...

Man, If you can jump through the class III hoops and afford the 70,000$ price tag....
....and have enough money left over for ammo to feed it,
- Then By All Means, Yes, You Should!

See 'ya at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in October!

If you CAN buy a minigun ... and afford the box-car worth of ammunition it would go through - g'head!

Then you'd have to try and find a legal place to fire it... and a vehicle to mount it on.

I have better ways to spend money, I am sure you likely do as well. it'd be a pretty darned expensive piece to purchase, license, and supply ammo for, unless you are the dictator of a 3rd world nation.

Heck yeah! I would be careful, they are heavy and will most likely knock you on your hind end. I wouldnt use it for hunting though. It would totally ruin all the meat.
