I met this really sweet guy at work the other day, i have to admit he is not the best looking or the most thoughtful but i think he is really special! Now as i've got to no him better i have found out he is a real loner, people in the office laugh at him behind his back because of his geekiness and he has no real friends, only online girls he chats to! Should i be freaked out by this? I'm not going to stop being his friend because of this but i don't no how much further things can go!

No, you like him so what if the others laugh at him, it's der problems dat dey don't see a sweet guy in him like you sed, everyone has a first time (I mean first social interaction), just because he's behind on it doesn't mean he's gonna do so poorly in the social department, so give it chance and screw da ppl who laugh at him.

Well...nothing much to be freaked out by.....yet. So he does not like the people at work...big deal. And they make fun of him...that makes them the freaks.
Sure chatting online is 'werid' to some people....but so is asking questions online(or giving answers to questions) to some people.
You should see if it can go farther.

I wouldn't be freaked out. It seems to me that he is just a shy, geeky person. That is not a bad thing. Don't listen to what other people say about him. I would stay friends with him, he may be your boss someday!!

He sounds like me. If you want to have a relationship with him but his loner lifestyle bothers you, just introduce him to some of your friends, he just needs to be pushed along a bit to be more social.

somtimes people become nice because they apriciate people who are willing to call them his friend
so they get a real nice personality
and then they might grow into their looks, n become like ur alround guy
but if not, then he has a loverly personality
he is worth keeping, even if its jus as a friend

Maybe he is a nice man, maybe he isn't. Be cautious and don't trust easily. If you do you could end up crying.
