If you had to say that this was the most important invention, how would you argue it? What points would you use in a 5 minute presentation to try and make someone believe that it was the MOST important invention? Also, how could this be more important than Brain-computer interfaces? You don't have to agree with that view... but if you could just help me out by saying how you could argue that point. Thanks

Virtual: almost as good as such as "virtually a genius"
Reality: that which we agree on

The ability to supplement reality with online versions has changed the world. Everything in the real world (good, and unfortunately bad) has an online version. If you can come up with something that doesnt have a VR version yet, then jump on it.

As technology progresses, so will VR and its effects (good and bad). The closer it gets to RW (real world) the more we need to watch it for blacklash.

Now here is a thought for you as far as direct interface. The movie Matrix said that men were forced into the slavery of the movie. But wouldnt it make more sense that mankind gradually took more and more part in the jacked-in reality until the machines were forced to come up with a way to support them?

The biggest use of virtual reality is in flight simulators. This allows pilots to practice at a much cheeper cost.

Doctors routinely use this as a learning tool.
