C L Richardson had the most sensible answer. First, there *are* things that have not happened yet (such as the ones he mentions). Also, Christianity (and other non-AntiChrist worshipping religions) will be outlawed! That's a big one, and one that requires an enormous societal change. Let's face it - most people in the world today would simply not stand for such a deprivation of their religious freedom. That does not mean that such a change is impossible in the near future - for example, if scientists discover a true cure for aging, our society will be toast in short order (and this would line up nicely with Revelation, as well). Still, our society does *not* seem to be in any immediate danger of crumbling.

There are several others which are pertinent - the death of most sea life, for example, due to some catastrophe, and likewise for life on land. Note that these verses do *not* speak of the *number of species*, but rather the number of creatures, so don't let any enviro-Christians try to trick you into thinking that we are fulfilling *those* particular prophecies.

Others mentioned in scripture are increases in wars and earthquakes. Since WWII we have significantly *reduced* the number of wars worldwide (probably due largely to atomic weapons (oddly) and the U.N.), and earthquakes are no more prevalent now than 100 years ago. Again, this is something that could change literally overnight, but we can claim with a great degree of certainty that it has not happened *yet*, and wars actually appear to be on the decline.

Personally, I don't think it's going to happen in my lifetime. Revelation suggests that, by far, most people will be ignorant of end-time prophecies. There are just too many well-educated Christians in the world for the "end" of the world to begin any time soon. Once you see Christianity outlawed worldwide (which we almost certainly will not live to see), *then* you'll know that your living in the "tribulation" and the end is near.

The Bible prophesies a time when individuals will not
be able to buy or sell unless they take the ‘mark of the
beast.’ Between now and May of 2008, Americans will receive national ID cards without which we will be
unable to hold a job or open a bank account. If we cannot hold a job or have a bank account, how much buying or selling will we be able to do? The question has to be asked:
“Will the National ID card—which will be implemented over the next two years—be the mark of the beast?”

A little history
For many years, advocates of socialistic big government have promoted the establishment of a national ID card. The American public has steadfastly resisted this encroachment upon individual liberties, not wanting to become a number in the government’s computer.
When it created the Department of Homeland Security after
9/11, Congress made it clear in the enabling legislation that the agency could not create a national ID system. In September 2004, then-DHS Secretary Tom Ridge reiterated, “The legislation that created the Department of Homeland Security was very specific on the question of a national ID card. They said there will be no
national ID card.” However, when the Homeland Security Commission presented their recommendation for responding to 9/11, there it was… as
big as Dallas. On page 407 of the 9/11 Report, it states, “Secure identification should begin in the United States. The federal government should set standards for the issuance of birth certificates and sources of identification, such as drivers’ licenses.”
Those who have long salivated over imposing a controlled
society upon America grabbed the 9/11 baton and ran with it! Knowing that Americans did not want a national ID card, the ‘Big Brother-ites’ decided to pass the National ID Act by stealth. First of all, they called it the Real ID Act, and then attached it to a huge appropriations bill for our troops in Iraq so that no member of Congress would dare vote against it. On May 10, 2005, the bill creating a national ID passed by a vote in the Senate of 100-0. The next day, May 11, 2005, President George W. Bush signed the bill into law. Just like that—the handcuffs were snapped around the wrists of Americans. The ‘land of the free and
the home of the brave’ became the land of the controlled and the home of the scared.

What will the Real ID Act actually do?
In layman’s language, the Real ID Act mandates that all states in the U.S. must standardize procedures for the granting of drivers’ licenses and ID cards. The state must require before issuing a drivers’ license or ID card the following documentation: (A) A photo identity document, except that a non-photo identity document is acceptable if it includes both the person’s full legal name and date of
birth. (B) Documentation showing the person’s date of birth.
(C) Proof of the person’s Social Security account number or verification that the person is not eligible for a Social
Security account number. (D) Documentation showing the
person’s name and address of principal residence.
Please notice that one of the mandatory requirements to get your ID card is the presentation of your Social
Security number. Your Social Security number is what makes you trackable. It enables the government to enter
information —lots of information about you—into its database, and then retrieve it at the push of a button.

The Gospel being preached all over the world has to be done and then the End will come. Jesus didn't lie at all, thats why He is not back yet. He would have been lying if He said that the Gospel would be preached all over the world and it was only preached in a small area (what those who believe He already returned think). The Gospel is only NOW reaching all areas of the world...

No they have not all been fulfilled, but many are on their way to fulfillment.

A few off the top of my head:

~ One world government, headed by the antichrist and his "sidekick".
~ The temple in Jerusalem will be rebuilt.
~ The gospel will be preached to all the nations (we're at 99%).

Oh, yawn!

Every generation looks for the end of the world in its lifetime. "The world must end with me!" is the universal cry.

Here is why:

1. The only way each of us know the world is through the operation of our minds upon our perceptions.
2. The world, then, exists only in our individual minds.
3. Among the things of which we are aware is that each of us dies.
4. With the death of each individual comes the death of a world.
5. We project our own awareness of our individual death onto the perceived world, thereby creating the apocalypse, the cataclysm, the end.
