I thought the Irish created God because of liquor. Or was that the Chrismas Tree.

Of course he did! After all it was the Irish Monks who saved civilization by copying all the ancient scriptures and works of literature that the rest of the world was so joyously burning. If the whole of Ireland could have put the bottle down long enough and took a lesson from these monks, just think of what they could have accomplished!

Jeremiah 25:27
Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.

You bet...

Sean: Yo... Seamus... what say we go 'n invade Denmark.

Seamus: Begorah... but sure 'n we got time to stop by the pub for a wee dram, a'fore we depart...

...and that's as far as they'd get.

I've got a little German blood in me, too, along with the Irish. So... whenever I hear Wagner's music, I get an irresistable urge to invade Poland.

I don't think liquor had anything to do with it. Beer didn't stop Germany did it? And vodka obviously has no affect on the Russians.

I don't know about that. But I do know that the Sun never sets on the British Empire because God can't trust an Englishman in the dark.
