Probably by the time the kid starts bringing his girlfriends to the house. He'd probably be a little embarrassed.

We are all naked under our clothes. There is no shame in it. I used to get dressed with my children in the room. I stopped when they started showing embarrassment, around the age of 4.

I am 34 and my mother doesn't hesitate to change her clothes in front of me. I think this question of nudity and children has a lot to do with the gender of the children, more so than the age of the children. If I had daughters, I would not hesitate to be nude in front of them. But, as the mother of two boys, I feel that there is a point where they do not wish to see me naked any more than I wish to see them naked.

the human body is the most beautiful thing ion the world! why do you think so many artists have drawn it, and painted it, or sculpted it?
what is the hang up with Americans and nudity? are you so scared of your own bodies?
my sister and I always dressed around our children, and they are healthy adults now, with good strong marriages, and have an outlook on life that does not have any hang ups about their sexuality, or anything else!
religion is responsible for keeping people in the dark ages with an outlook on life as old fashioned as the puritans! If more people did not have such tainted and twisted views about sexuality there would not be as many rapists,or child molesters, or pedophiles! As long as people teach their children that their bodies are dirty, and that sex is bad, this will continue!

Depends. First of all, I am going to assume you meant "naked" and answer accordingly. In my family, it is just girls/women so we have never been too concerned with covering up. I don't mean we walk around naked but we aren't paranoid about locking our doors as we change. As most American families don't have this viewpoint, I think the best time to stop is when your child/children start becoming embarrassed or concerned with your nudity. This will come sooner if you have a son opposed to a daughter.

If being naked isn't sexually appealing to the person seeing you naked ,as with a child and there mother your junk just looks nasty and not very pleasing to the eyes ,so for gosh sakes have some respect 4 yourself and the kid and keep your panties on.Nobody wants to see it.And don't be surprised if you have a hard time explaining to your kid why it is OK 4 them to be naked in front of you but not others.

And I should shield my son from the human body that he came from...WHY? Granted I don't 'parade' around the house going 'look at me' but, if I get out of the shower and I don't have clothes to change into, or something like that, Then I calmly walk to my room or, the laundry room and get them. He could care less.

Usually kids will start wanting to be alone when they are naked by the age of 4-5 years old but kids aren't bothered by seeing their parents until about 8-10 years old. And personally I don't run around naked in front of my kid but if he sees me naked I certainly don't make an issue of it. I don't think there is anything wrong with it period. It's not sexual and for those that view it that way well they have something wrong wtih them.

when the mum or child start to feel uncomfortable
certainly once boys reach 11 ( puberty) it is not appropriate. I have never been shy but my sons object to seeing me with only a towel on so I respect that.

"Going necked"....does that mean going with your neck? Because if so, I would say the mother should continue to go around with her neck if she doesn't want to traumatize her child.

I think the word you're looking for is naked.
