Today I went to my yoga class. The teacher, a very kind man, at the end of the lesson said that AUM is the sound of the Universe. As soon as he said it a thought came to my mind, quick as lighting, "do you have proof of that? Empirical data, please?".
Fortunately, this question never reached my lips.
Do you think I spend too much time on R&S?

No, you don't spend enough.
You should have made the man look like a total idiot in front of his whole class. Next time he'll give you a discount on your tuition if you promise to keep your mouth shut.

By what you've said so far, it doesn't appear that much if anything is wrong with you.
LOL, on the "empirical data" - that's classic!!!!!!!!!!
If you feel the time you spend on R&S is affecting your personal life, in this case your vocabulary, maybe you should take a time out from it. But really, you can't spend too much time on any given topic, it just means you become a "top contributor" right? again, LOL, thanks, :)

NO!
Without a seeking mind you will not be able to understand your own Enlightened Nature.
Never accept anything without first questioning. A child is always curious. They keep asking 'why', ultimately the parent answers "It's because God said so!!!" No wonder when we grow up we stop asking 'why'. By questioning you learn and grow. Please don't ever hold back from satisfying your curiosity.
Thanks for the Q

It's the vibration of the repeating sound that is the pulse of the universe. If you have ever attended a mass meditation, the vibration resonates throughout the chanters and actually changes their consciousness.

You forgot to turn off your BS alarm. Luckily it was on silent. As much as I encourage education, I must admit that professors are more often than not...full.
