World war is a war fought between MAJOR powers.

At this point in history a world war would be fought between members of the UN Security Council

USA
Russia
UK
China
France.

These are the big kids with nuclear strike capability and other technical means of fighting a modern war.


Just because CNN shows a bunch of crazies from Mesopotamia killing each other like they have been doing non-stop for 8000 years, does not mean the world is going to end.

This current war that the US is involved with results in about 1000 dead soldiers per year. While this is unfortunate, 50 times that die in car accidents every year and more than half of those are drinking and driving related.

Talk about preventable deaths! At least the soldiers have a choice about being in the forces, the victim of a drunk driver does not.

World war would result in the deaths of Millions if not billions, there is no comparison.

It has already begun. Haven't you realized the plan of the Middle East yet?

They tricked us into a Military action in Iraq and Afghanistan so we would expend our troops and make other countries once allies of ours disagree with our actions. In the mean time, they teamed up with China and Russia and came up with more plans to attack us when they are ready. North Korea was supposed to be another diversion but got scared. Now Iran has begun to threaten the non-Muslim world as a new diversion, and it has worked since France is getting in on it and no longer hating on the U.S. Unfortunately the majority of the population of the U.S. still does not agree with any Military action what so ever, and will most likely discourage their kids from enlisting or joining any branch of the Military like the Powers of the Middle East were hoping. Eventually our Military will loose significant personnel and support, and before we realize it, the Middle Eastern countries will have defeated the weaker European countries and start their way to our shores. By that time we will be left to defend the nation as we did back during the American Revolution, and more than likely our nation will fall because their is more concern with who Paris Hilton is screwing and when Britney is going to jail, then what political actions are occurring around the world which could affect our Nation and its securities.

I think it is already here. It's called the War on Terror since scholars and historians are aware of what "World War III" is supposed to mean. The Iraq War is but one "theater" of this war.

I think it started in 1995..... That's when they figured Osama started working on 9/11. If you think about it, you have the US, Australia, Britain, and some of Europe, vs. Afghanistan, Iraq, IRAN, Syria, North Korea and China. It's not battleships and tanks, it's suicide bombers and cruise missiles. You'll never see a trench-style war again. It will be guerilla attack and counterattack type of stuff.
