How much do you weigh? 1100 Calories a day is not much. So little in fact it will put your body in starvation mode, which will make it harder to lose weight because your body is wanting to hold on to those fat stores. You need to start a healthy diet and exercise plan. I would consult with your Dr. on a safe and healthy plan. There are foods that you can eat that will boost your metabolism, which in turn will help burn the fat when you combine it with an exercise program. Take a look at Oprah.com. There is some very good advice on diet and exerciseing safely.

Well, you should probably eat at least 1200 calories if you're a tiny person, and a few hundred more if you're bigger. If you don't eat enough, your body won't burn calories as efficiently, because it holds on to the calories it does get. And we would need to know more about your size to know your basic metabolic weight, and we'd need to know how much you're trying to lose. Without all that info, we can't really answer the question as to how much you should exercise. 30 minutes of cardio a day is standard just for health purposes.

I actually eat a little less than 1200 calories, since it is estimated by research that people usually eat 300 more calories a day than they think... anyway I try to exercise 30-60 minutes a day...On average about 45 :)

Thats a pretty low caloric diet there. Somewhat dangerous.

You need to calculate your daily caloric need. Say its 1850 calories in a day. Jogging for 45 minutes a day burns roughly 600 calories. Your goal is to burn about 500 calories more a day than you consume. You must consume high quality calories and do not take in the white powder (sugar).

1100 cals/day is not sufficient to support any exercise. If ur going to exercise, u need at least 1900 cals/day and really more like 2200 cals/day. Exercise boosts your metabolism more than just while you're doing it. Your body needs the fuel to use while the exercise is going on.

are you trying to lose weight? If you are, you should be eating atleast 1200 calories a day. Under that your body starts to hold all fat and not burn any of it. and you should also get your heart rate up for 30mins 5 days a week. Good luck!

The simple answer is that our intake and your outtake should balance.
As to exercise, the most important reasons to exercise are for a good, strong, healthy heart, lungs, etc. Those who are fit do live longer! (in general)
You can check with WebMD and other sites for general ideas. In the end, it is what works for you: the "one size fits all" ideas of exercise and diet just do not work (look around you...)

In order to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume daily.

As long as you are not sitting on your butt all day, you don't really need any exercise. Your body burns that much each day just functioning. Anything you do on top of that will make you lose weight.
