Its been a year since i have became an Atheist.
I have read a lot of articles and kind of pretty sure about what the idea exactly means, but i still have some doubts about the rules.
The doubts are the following -
*Am i allowed to use swears which involves the peoples imaginary friend "God" ?
Eg - God dammit ,Go to hell etc

*Am i allowed to say my age........ or should i hide it ??

*Could i celebrate my Birthday ??

*Atheism is characterized by an absence of belief in the existence of gods. What i want to know is that I also cant believe in angels and devils right(lol)?

*Must i change my birth certificates and other forums to legally prove that i am an atheist??

*Is it against the rules of atheism to insult god ??( i know its stupid to insult something that doesn't exist ,but i get kinda pissed when theists interfere with my beliefs)

* Is it okey to have superstitious beliefs ?

1.) You can certainly use theistic lingo when swearing -- especially when it's done for ironic effect, for God's sake!

2.) Age is no big deal.

3.) You can celebrate your birthday -- just not Jesus'.

4.) It's all part of the same fairy tale -- so angels and demons are right out!

5.) That nonsense would be more for the "born-agains"...

6.) Only if you're insulting god in private. You need to say it loud and proud, to tweak as many fundies as you can, damnit! (<----MORE IRONY)

7.) You've come this far into clean air -- why muddy things up now, buying into other nonsense?

You don't sound clever enough to be an atheist but never mind, let me answer some of your questions.

Its 'ok' to have superstitious beliefs but if you have them - what makes you think you're an atheist?

Of course atheists can insult god - they can give the tooth fairy a wedgy, they can spit in santa's eye.

Change your birth certificate? Why? You don't have opinions about the cosmos when you're born, do you? Atheism is just a lack of belief in god - you dont have to tell people you dont believe in fairies, do you?

Should you celebrate your birthday? Certainly, from the sound of your question you can't have had many.

FINALLY - No, you're not allowed to say you're age - atheists consider it a sin.

There are no rules to Atheism silly. Atheism means you do not believe in god or a higher power. Whatever else you want to believe in, go right ahead but if you do not believe in the existence of gods, you are by definition an atheist.

there is no such rules. Idf you're an atheist, then that's it. It only means you do not believe in god or a higher being.

Err...there are no rules.

It just means you don't believe in any god. If you do, then by definition you aren't an atheist. If you don't you are one.

You're making this much more difficult than it's supposed to be.
