I have an old version of Norton (2002) they no longer have the uninstall tool for that year. It is not in my Add/Remove list, only Symantec and it will not allow me to remove it? What can I do- I tried manually deleting it, but it just made my computer go haywire- it has it's tentacles everywhere!

Usually all the "Add/Remove Progams" selection does us run on Unistall file that is part of the original program. Check the directory that has the file that starts Norton and see if there is one there. Often they are called "Unwise" to keep people from running them.

But removing Norton is always difficult. They do that to keep a virsus or other malware from being able to uninstall it.
