It's a skull and crossbones, nothing out of the ordinary. No symbolism either.
You may be right gliter kitty, dad always said I did things half-arsed.

more details:
I'm 30, and yes I live with my parents, but only because they said they'd cut my allowance if I moved out.

Probably because a *REAL* man would have got a Prince Albert piercing and not some p|_|ssy nipple piercing.

How old r u?
Answer to ur question:
1) because it worries them that you're turning out the type of person that is mindless enough so that you will do things just because they're 'in', and not because the idea is practical.
2) also because they worry that the kind of people that have nipples/other things pierced go in a more rebellous direction, and into a 'screw everyone else' I'll do whatever the f___ i want' attitude (eg, insensitive to others)
3) the last reason could be pride/ego on their parts (also, that you did something without discussing it w. them/showing they mean less to you that they thought).

Good lord son! Are you 18? Are you still living under thier roof and eating thier food and using thier internet? Having your nipple pierced automatically puts you in a stereotype. Whether you like it or not it does. It was probably as much disappointment as it was being upset or angry. If you fall under any of the things I mentioned first they have every right to be upset, mad, or disappointed.

i might wait till u the two turn 18 or flow out in the past u get that piercing (and not tell them) because of the fact ur no longer likely to pay attention end of it if u get it on a similar time as ur nonetheless a minor residing under their roof. father and mom are greater much less controlling / conserving while u turn 18 because of the fact this is while ur an grownup and that they choose u to make ur own judgements, at my father and mom are.

It's an Oedipal thing. Mom missed the nipple she grew to love so well. Sounds like your Dad was turned-on. It'll be OK. You may want to hold back on the Prince Albert until they kick it and you inherit the house. The local kiddies will love it!
Ooh, I feel dirty. Sick. Very, very, sick. Thrice-Screwed, you are one very sick woman. *Grins at self evilly*

Well, if you're a female it can make you unable to lactate. If your parents support breast feeding, maybe that's why.
Also, piercing and tattooing is seen by older people as a sign of lower class. And your actions are a reflection of your parents teachings, and morals.

I guess it depends on how old you are. If you're 26, your Dad is being unreasonable. If you're 14, I don't blame him for getting upset.

Piercing is an uncivilized fad as is tattooeing and you'll kep the marks for life. Plus, it may represent things such as drugs, homossexuality, etc. I wouldn't like it either no matter how nice you think it looks...
