3 years ago when I was pregnant my doctor told me I was "going hypoglycemic" and that basically I was starving and I was wondering if that meant I actually had it and if I did, does it ever go away? I'm starting to get more symptoms of it and starting to wonder whether or not it ever went away since my pregnancy...I am debating on whether I should see a doctor about this. Please let me know what you guys think. I am 23 going on 24 but I was 20 when I got pregnant

The test for hypoglycemia is a five hour glucose tolerance test. Discuss this with your doctor. Otherwise you can put yourself on a hypoglycemic diet that will level out your blood sugar. Thats five tiny meals (grazing) which should have protein . You would also want to avoid foods with added sugar and foods that convert to sugar like breads(starchy foods). I carry nuts with me to help me keep my blood sugar level. I have had the symptoms all my life.

yes, see a doctor.. most likely it can just be regulated with a proper diet... but if not regulated it can lead to insulin resistance and pre-diabetes.. and possibly eventually diabetes if you truly are hypoglycemic.. and it's not uncommon for women your age to be so.
