is it possible for the police to put a warrant out for your arrest and not tell you that you have a warrant out for you, or wait a few days before telling you?

♥ Yes they are allowed to issue a warrant for your arrest without previously informing you. Evidently if a warrant for your arrest is needed then you did something wrong. There are quite a few people whom have had warrants out for their arrest & didnt even know it.

What? Do you think it is a game of hide n seek? Cops n robbers? Like the police are gonna call you and say "Hey, Joe Schmoe, we have a warrant for your arrest, just thought you should know that we will be looking for you. Have a nice day"

Are you out of your mind or is this a joke?

they don;t have to tell you anything...a warrant is a warrant some people have warrants from 10s of years ago they don't even know about....and subpoenas are when they come to your door and stuff....if you know it is them and you don't answer they will keep trying and trying...eventually they will take out an ad in a local newspaper and say you need to show up in court and then if you still don't come they will issue a warrant

Bench warrants go out without any notice. They are not aggressively pursued either. Just get arrested should you get stopped for any other infraction.

warrants are issued because you did something wrong. You know that you did something wrong, therefore you should know that a warrant could be issued for your arrest.

Sure, it happens all the time.

There is no legal requirement to inform someone of a warrant prior to their arrest.
