i always look at the breeds origin and try to give the pet a name from that countries myths and folklores or will in general name a pet from greek mythology. I had a cat i named Artemis the goddess of the hunt. I had a female lovebird I named Pandora and a male lovebird named zeus. I named my siberian husky Malina for Inuit eskimo mythology their goddess of the sun... you can really have fun with it and learn a little as you go.

Wingnut. One of our shelter dogs is named that and it fits him! He's a goofy, fun dog. Melody, Blondie, Foxie, Bear, Abbey, Peanut, Goat (he was supposed to be neutered the day he came in but got bumped to the next day for an injured goat), Rowdy, Niles. These are some of the names of the dogs in our no-kill shelter. We love them.

We had a mastiff called Zeus, a dalmatian called tom and a lab called Otto!
I prefer people names for animals, I know a cat called Simon and a dog named Vomit, but that guy is a bit odd......

Brewster, Whisper, Cocoa, Taz, Hershey, Skip or Kelly. think of your dogs personality it might inspire you. My dog named Whisper because he was a noisy pup. Taz came from being a tazmania devil in the comic Bugs Bunny. Use your imagination.
