Look, both sides are wrong on this question.
One, "intelligent design" should not be taught in science class in schools (public) because it is not science. Period. It's also predominently a religious concept, so there is also the church and state concept, but for the most part science should be taught in science class, and if it's not science it shouldn't be taught in science class.
On the other hand, "intelligent falling" is not the same thing as "intelligent design." Nobody disputes that things fall to earth. However, the theory of gravity is an (as all theories are) an "explanation" of WHY things fall to earth (and why planets orbit the sun, etc). The theory of gravity is a really good theory - HOWEVER, that doesn't mean that it's settled completely for all time. What we refer to as gravity is generally a "Newtonian" concept. However, the theory changed markedly with Einstein, and even Einstein's theories have been modified and changed over time.

are you KIDDING? what a crazy wacked question! my sons go to a public school and they're not athiest run you weirdo! thanks to borders being open, we have a million other races here with deifferent religions who piss and moan because the schools teach the "wrong" religion! when my parents grew up and went to public school most people were christians. what the heck are you talking about gravity? do you even know what you said or did you just like, make that up or read it somewhere because you put your words together all weird. They still have the Pledge in school so therefor if you ask me, religion is still there... somewhere. that's why i send my kids to ccd or religion class once a week. if you want you kids to be taught religion in school, the religion YOU want, send them to a religion based school. there's too many religions in the schools to teach one. NOT ONE of my kids' teachers told them there was no God. get a life!

we must also teach how the great hand of the FSM keeps everything in track. He is teasing these I.D. scientists with false evidence. We should teach FSMism in schools non-stop.

Why are Christians the target of these antagonistic posts? Why don't you include Jews, Muslims, or Hindus in this question since they believe in God too? Well, I know one big reason why: Because Institutions of Higher Learning (what a joke!) have systematically attacked Christianity and indoctrinated their minds-full-of-mush students into believing this garbage. Most of you attackers come out of a post-christian cultural situation in which blaming Christiasnity for everything is acceptable and politically correct. In fact, bigotry against Christians (and especially Catholic Christians) is one of the last acceptable prejudices in America. If you insult a homosexual or a Muslim you have commited a hate crime. Insult a Christian and you're a hero at UC Berkeley. These attacks are better proof than any other proof I know of that Christanity is the true religion: Why else would the world attack it so hard?
