Well it depends on alot of things, to me there is no choice between the wii and the PS3.
Unless you like to play mario, mario, mario, luigi, mario, zelda, and oh mario, then wii is not for you. They have on game right now of any interest Metroid after that there's nothing.
Now on to the other two, most people say that the PS3 is overpriced and the 360 is cheaper, but that's just not the case (price comparison later).
Now the the 360 currently has the largest library of the current generation consoles. The 360 also currently has the most excclusives, that will soon change as the PS3 has lots of them coming as does the wii.
Let's compare the two mains systems for just a minute, the 360 and the PS3.
360: HD gaming console with largest (currently) library of games, but you over 30% failure rate on the machine, and developers are requiring more space to get the games they want to produce out, means that soon the 360 will have games on multiple dvds or on hd-dvd only. They soon are also requiring the hard drive, so 360 core at this point is useless.
PS3: HD gaming console with the smallest (currently) library of games, failure rate around 3%, developers are happy with the blu-ray size because the textures of the games and music of the games they can make as complex as they want. More exclusives are coming very soon for this console, in fact almost a dozen exclusives by the end of the year (ratchett & clank, haze, socom, lair, heavenly sword, warhawk, little big planet, just to name a few). The PS3's Playstation Network allows you to game online free of charge, with leaderboards, and will soon be revamped. PS3 is backward compatible (60GB version) with about 94% of PS2 and PS1 games.
Now for the cost factors, here's the prices of each machine, comparibly equipped, keep in mind that not all (options on the 360) will be needed.
360 Pro/Premium w/20GB HDD: $349.99, + $99.99 (wi-fi adapter), + $59.99 (wireless headset), $60/yr (xbox live (for online play)), + $179.99 (hd-dvd) = $749.96
PS3: w/60GB HDD: $499.99 + $24.99 (if you don't already have a bluetooth headset for your cell phone) =$524.98
See all the options that you need to get the 360 even close to the PS3 puts the cost of the 360 way over the PS3.
Best buy and best bet is the PS3.
Some developers have shifted their focus as their primary console now, from the 360 to the PS3. Just because EA hasn't doesn't mean that others aren't and won't, they are.

You get what you pay for.
The PS3 does all the 360 can and more, costs less in the long run, has the better heritage, and better future (check out Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5, Little Big Planet for a few examples).
Michael L; the reason Madden runs at a sh*te framerate is due to shoddy programming on EAs part (and a lame 'we haven't had enough time' excuse) and not the console.

I'll say its worth it looking at my elite and ps3 =D
da 360 has more games that r really good but seriously... dont u think 5-10 games is enough?
PS3 has better graphics, internet is free and is a blu ray player....
Its worth the price since now u can get it + 7 blu ray movies at 360$ +tax/shipping if u make a sony visa (100$ off plus 40$ off with the points)....

What the other guy sad is great and all, and I'm sure, if given the time, the PS3 will wow all of us gamers with what it can do, but as of right now, my PS3 is little more than a blu-ray movie player.
And if the PS3 can do 120 fps, then why is Madden NFL 08's frame rate capped at a grotesque 40 fps?

I would love a ps3 but it's damn expensive! I have a 360 I keep it cool in the middle of a room with ac, never had a problem, yeah it froze a few times, but that's it. There isn't a better online community, but it isn't free, like PS3 is. But think about this....The PS3 isn't even selling in it's hometown!!! If their own peeps won't buy it, it has to say something!

ps3 is definetly worth the money!!!
Give ps3 a year and due to the PS3's blueray capabilities the games will just be on another level to the xbox. Plus there more reliable, they have card slots for cameras and mp3 players to download music. ps3 will cruise right pass 360. on gamespot, it says that there will be over 300 games available by the spring time, ps3 is capable to run at 120fps but they gotta make a tv that can do that.
i have a ps3 and its definetly worth the money, wait for more answerers
also :
PS3: 3% hardware failure
360: 33% hardware failure

It's funny how this generation all the Sony fanboys can say is look at the technology in the PS3. IT'S ALL ABOUT TECH. That is what they are saying but correct me if I'm wrong.
Last generation when the original Xbox had better tech they were all screaming IT'S ABOUT THE GAMES. Now this generation Xbox has all the games.
Funny how their opinon changes so fast and to tell you the truth I don't remember Xbox's tech helping them last generation.
