I have already filed a travel voucher for per diem/haz. fire/etc..., and have been paid for that, but when will my family separation pay come in? I turned in the paperwork for that at the same time as my travel voucher. Does this money come on a payday instead? It has been two weeks since I filed for it.

My husband always has to file his afterwards too. We've never lived anywhere that he got his family sep in his check while deployed. I think the AF works a little different than the other branches in that respect.
The Family Separation should be in the next check after filing the paperwork (unless they lose it..). It's always in your regular paycheck. I'll bet it's in your check on the 1st!!

What James said. Family Sep pay is supposed to be allotted in your monthly pay during the time you are actually seperated. Not after. Check you LES' from the time you were deployed. I'm bettin you see it on their.

Comes in on your regular pay. If it is late coming in for the first check from DFAS, it will come in the next plus what you were owed previously.
