the only thing we truly know, is our selves, our own mind and conscience, that is what spiritualism is!at one with your conscience, I don't mean normal cognitive thought, but your subconscious, that little voice in the back of your head, that is the real God, it is what defines you. The rest of the ideology surrounding religion is just put there to confuse you and draw you away from the truth; the truth that you don't need religion to find enlightenment, you just need an open mind and be able to forget everything that you have learned about faith, for to make peace you have to emancipate your conscience!

so what should you believe: yourself!!!

Of course no one knows for sure, but some people have their own spiritual experiences that they consider definitive answers.

It's possible that their brain is just looking for something, anything, and reaching out at the smallest possible thing.

I remember driving on the highway one day and taking the wrong exit.

This was my first time driving a highway by myself and even though I'd been in the car when my parents were driving, I didn't understand exits and signs completely. I knew how to drive a car but not where I was driving to.

I got so scared and freaked out and almost pulled over to the side of the road. I didn't have my phone on me so I didn't know what to do.

I kept driving, calmed down and said a prayer, asking God for help and guidance.

I can't really explain it, but I felt a tug, a pull of sorts and I was drawn to one exit, then another.

Before long, I had made my way back home. I have no idea how I got there but I was there, just following tugs.

Maybe it was a subconscious manifestation of something I had already seen my parents do before, but I would like to think it was a sign of God showing me the way.

Another incident, far more recently:

After my great grandmother passed away, I've noticed that everytime I leave my house, two birds are standing right next to my door looking at me. They don't fly off as is normal, but instead kinda step slowly away from my path so I can walk through, but then they just stay there, eyeing me.

They aren't far away birds, they're literally right there. If i wanted to I could reach down and touch one.

My sister told me that when our grandpa died something similar happened to her in that an oriole stood outside her door/on her windowsill and just stared at her. When she'd walk out it'd follow her for a bit before flying off.

I have no explanation for that other than something divine.

i've got self assurance the two -- and notice no contradiction in that. The Bible says God created the international in six days. yet time is relative; how long grow to be an afternoon then? a million,000 years, a million years??? rather user-friendly medical experiments illustrate the technique of evolution. vegetation and animals, alongside with human beings, adapt to their habitat (for what DID we ever use that appendix, besides!?!). case in point, we are oftentimes a lot taller than our ancestors, have a lot longer lifespan common -- all that is evolution. yet do no longer forget approximately: the Bible (and Genesis) covers in user-friendly terms 2 of the international's religions, Judaism and Christianity (which has a super spectrum from Catholic to Unitarian). There are some six billion human beings interior the international, maximum individuals of whom are neither Christian nor Jewish! the place do they arrive in this evolution/ Genesis question? The planet is thousands and thousands of years old. There are fossils to coach that. Christianity is 2006 years old; Judaism extra beneficial than 5,000 years. Their origins are documented interior the Bible and by archaeological discoveries like the lifeless Sea Scrolls. whether, I even have self assurance that bible learn belongs in faith instructions and evolution keeps to be interior the technology branch -- and notice no contradiction in that the two!

I'm 100% sure i know! That sounds arrogant but really, I am. The reason is, I was not looking for God, I have never been into any particular faith but believed in many things, and then one day I met God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Nobody was praying for me, I simply knew He was there, and I was healed of depression as soon as I knew Him. I have tested my faith and never been let down. I have read extensively on the claims of Jesus and the Bible, and I start with the knowledge that God is real, and Jesus is alive, and look for someone to disprove any of the bible, and nobody can. In fact, the Bible describes life and history including origins of man far better than any other theory, and it fits what we already know. I have seen miracles and lives changed by Jesus, so I know it's all for real.

Unfortunately yes they do think they are right so do I, but in saying that I do allow for the fact that I may be wrong, and that at the end of my life I may, (just may) find the truth in the meantime I will strive to be true to myself and treat all with as much respect and care as I can and be patient. That is (if I am right) about all we can do.

Hence the word "believe"...those who believe have not experienced for themselves - or it would be knowing and understanding (not belief).

Test everything and see if it holds up...working hypothesis, not something to be attached to. If one tends to be right and useful, then you might have something.

But there are no certainties in this world...there is always a way to doubt.

You don't you just have to make the best judgement you can on the available evidence. If the available evidence changes then you can alter what you believe. It is this point which is one of the biggest weaknesses with most religions despite new evidence they can't change what they believe. Except the Roman Catholic church of course

True followers of Christ have the Holy Spirit bearing witness to them. They have had an actual experience with the God of the universe, whereas the rest of the religious world is embracing empty rituals. True Christians are those who were drawn by the Father and given to Christ. They didn't choose Him, He chose them. They are the elect, and they became the adopted sons of God. Everyone else is merely choosing their own religion.

Pray, ask for confirmation, listen to your heart. If you feel peace, you are doing great. James 1:5-If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and Upbraideth not.

Upbraideth means reprimands or punishes, in other words, God will let you know, and there is not a punishment for asking for knowledge.

One other thing that I have found is to constantly continue seeking knowledge and Truth. As soon as you do have some confirmation, sensation of peace about your beleifs, continue seeking even more knowledge. There is so much Truth to be had, we should never stop!

I personally believe we need to go on our own spiritual journey to find out about different religions & not just put our faith in what our parents taught us to believe!. When we do find a religion that makes sense & feels right to us then we should embrace it!. Ignorance is not bliss & it's upon us to discover the right way. I was brought up as a christain to the age of 9 then my parents converted to another religion which I believe to be the right one!.
