Hmm, you might be right! I've never thought of that, but now that you mention it, they do seem to know a lot about NASCAR and everybody involved with it. Although, I cant see why anybody would be afraid to say they love NASCAR, I have no problem with it. Maybe they're just in denial?

Not sure what you mean by bashing?
Are talking about the few of us that are old enough to remember the days before FOX got hold of the sport? The people that hate the bloody chase or top 35 or every popular cup driver running every Busch race making it almost impossible for a new driver or team to make it into the big league?
I would say these are more of a fan than most of the fans today. I see most of the so called fans today are just wagon jumpers.
If you are talking about the ones who make fun of some driver or the NASCAR fan them selves I don't pay them much mind and neither should you and they will go away.

Honestly, no. There are some people who don't understand the fascination behind watching auto racing, just like there are some people who don't understand why other people watch other sports like golf, baseball, and so on. It's just not their preference, and given a public forum such as this, it allows them the ability to express their opinion. That doesn't mean they're wrong; it just means they have a different viewpoint and different things that they like, which is okay.

As for me, I'm a NASCAR fan, but I can also see why some people post "bashing" remarks. If you were to look across the forum pages here, you'd probably see that we're not alone.

I rather doubt it. I think they are mostly children who are flexing their nastiness where they don't have to be responsible for the consequences. They were obviously brought up by parents with no parenting skills and with a lot of hostile and abusive thoughts that they voiced in front of their children. These kids are just acting out. They don't even begin to understand that most view their outlandish behavior as just that: outlandish. It gets them noticed. They are likely lacking attention at home or are overlooked and ignored at school. They are not part of the "popular" crowd so they try to evoke responses from strangers just for attention. It's sad really.

Yes. I do, they sit there on Saturday or Sunday and they watch like the rest of us, the difference is, they are fans of the guys that run in the 30-43rd spots and get mad and turn it off when their driver craps out on lap 20.

No, it is just human nature to hate something you don't understand. They are just ignorant. They see millions interested and they don't understand why so instead of just not watching they feel they have to bash or they will feel stupid and left out.
