Unfortunately sometimes we act as though we do so no wonder non-believers think that. We need to live daily with Jesus so we respond to His voice not a phrase someone says or something someone does to us. That trained dog response comes when we're living on "automatic" and not living for the Lord on a daily basis.

in some cases, yes. But this is usually from the younger of the Christians who mostly only know what their parents and preachers have taught them. People who have not had the luxury of time and or freedom to truly understand their own positions tend to spout off the same nonsense over and over again.
Usually in all caps.
There are a few atheists who do the same, but they too tend to be younger people with nowhere near enough experience to know any better.

I think there are many that do have a trained response, especially new believers.
To answer your question......
I think non-believers think we have a trained response because many times I hear, "you Christians all say the same thing"

It certainly appears that way at times. Cut and paste scriptures and that type of thing contributes to the impression. I have seen some believers who give very well thought-out answers, but many just fall back on rhetoric.

Sadly many Christians do have a so-called "Pavlov's Dog" system, not all do but a large number of them do.

Some of you do. Some of you have actually considered the positions, weighed the pros and cons, the arguments for and against and made your decision. I believe you to be one of the latter Primoa, even if we disagree with the outcome of the decision. There are too many on ANY side of ANY argument who do not educate themselves (this is ESPECIALLY true in politics) enough to make it past knee-jerk bumper sticker-style phrase spouting.

I think its true sometimes with Christian responses, but its also true with some atheists. When a person can't spell atheist, evolution, or science correctly ,I have a difficult time believing their thoughts are original or well thought out.

Nicely put. Many just spew out the same crap that they were told without thinking about it for themselves. As an atheist, I try to make sure what I say is thought out and from me, not someone else.

You're asking for an honest opinion, so I'm offering one : Yes.
I think Christians have been conditioned over eras of time to have a certain train of thought, and that to think otherwise is dangerous, wrong, "sinful", etc.
I consider you a friend, but I'm being honest with you, as I would think you are with me when I ask questions here.
