Exactly!!
If god realized that people 2000 years ago needed some kind of evidence, then surely god would realize I need evidence too!

Like it or not the skepticism you speak of is a prophecy foretold in the Old Testament -- particularly within the Minor Prophets and mentioned several times in the New Testament -- such as in the parable of the fig tree.
Earthly miracles were a part of Christ's ministry by and large -- beginning at the wedding where he turned water into wine and continuing through his resurrection and subsequent Ascension back to Heaven and The Father.
You are not seeing anything more than the trivial resemblance on food items and questionable apparitions in lights, shadows, and material things because the time has not yet arrived.
When His time is right you will see miracles performed by the antichrist claiming to be Jesus as well as by the two witnesses in Jerusalem; as well as those by The Elect who will come before the synagogue of satan and if still living, you will be awed by the supernatural nature of it all.

Back then sin was still new- so much was not really known about god...thousand of years later, we now have the bible/stories to re direct our faith.... Those people are the examples, there for god does not need to put the work of wonder dead in our face..." I believe he's looking down on us" screaming DUUUUH!
(((READ SOMETHING)))
We are not becoming more skeptical....if u think about it, god made it flood, spoke with Moses dressed like a burning bush, fed the complaining people..and still they did not believe or turned away.
Today we only have chapters in a book to go by and the discovery channel...I think we have a lot more faith. considering what we don't know or see....
BTW....Miracles are being performed everyday...I once got hit from the back in my car, forcing me into the middle of the road w/ on coming traffic....first thing I said was "Oh, god-don't allow me to die" my eyes where closed...when I open them...I was on the other side of the road, safely....hmm.

Very good question, my friend. Jesus came to earth to direct us to God. With the miracles he performed, he got the attention necessary in order to make a difference in the world. My question to everyone, what are we doing to make a difference in the world? When we couple works and faith, miracles will occur. These miracles will call others into a saving relationship with God. It’s cyclical.
My friend, we have seen, heard and read enough to know that God is and will forever be. There is no need to do miracles like feeding 5000. However, we do need the heart of God. With the heart of God, we could very easily feed 5000. With the heart of God, we could change the course of someone's life, thereby delivering him or her from a sure death. What a resurrection!
Our society is so self reliant, that it's scary. Depend on God for all your provision and watch Him take care of you.
Call on Him today. Accept Jesus as your Savior. Ask Him to show you His glory. Believe that He is and will. Faith is believing that you have it, even when it is not present.

What about all the people that lived before Jesus???? Didn't "god" want them to have faith? They didn't have anybody to "die for their sins." But then I guess if you decide that you are going to drown every human being on earth except one man and his family, you probably aren't too concerned about whether or not they "had faith."

Not true...in those days people wouldn't have just believed anything. The majority of society actually rejected Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus went through a lot of convincing to get people to understand His true divineness.

God is our Father, like our organic and organic father is to us. Our organic and organic father, extra beneficial than something, needs our love. that's the main organic factor interior the international. So, considering God is our Father, too, His choose for our love is likewise the main organic factor there is. It has no longer something to do with selfishness. How is the will for romance egocentric? How is the will for have confidence (faith) self-serving? Your argument additionally keeps that no loving God might permit somebody go through torment for eternity. permit me ask you a question: are you able to tension somebody to love you? think of of a love interest you will have had. you will have liked them, or they liked you. one among you tried to confirm a courting, however the different did no longer choose it. Can, or could, that guy or woman be compelled right into a courting they do no longer choose? A courting with God is a similar way. He gave us unfastened will and continually respects it. His love and present of everlasting existence is unfastened and open to all, yet we ought to make the choice to settle for it. that is in no way compelled on us. what's God to do with a guy or woman who refuses to love Him? What are you to do with a guy or woman who refuses to love you, whether their refusal is faulty? God bless.

back before Jesus, folks had to sacrifice animals to attone for sins with God...
...but God was like to His choosen people: "...ok, no more sacrificing animals 'cuse I'm going to send the messiah with NEW instructions on how you will attone for sins...
...the choosen people were like "...forget that, we don't want any Messiah coming and ruining our good time...lets kill Him"...
...so God was like "ok choosen people, since you've killed your Messiah (Jesus), I'm going to make these NEW instructions available to everyone in the world...
...thus He was sent so that He could be rejected so that God's salvation could be available to everyone
