Wouldn't it be fun if you christians spent HALF the time you spend wishing and praying for the 'apocalypse', on something constructive and helpful?
Gee, would'nt that make the world a better place?
But no, you have to look at small events like the one in Peru and you ferverently hope that this "is it" It, being the end of the earth.
What is it about you people that make you hope for the death of every man, woman and child on earth? Because that IS what you're praying for after all...

That's what scares me about not having separate chruch and state. What if our leaders were equally anxious for the end of the world?

No. We do not pray for the end of the world. Christ told us not to, because it will be such a horrible event. We do pray that all unbelievers will come to know Christ before it is too late. One day Christ will make the last tug at the atheist's heart and then there will be no more chances. We do not want any person to perish. Christians knows what Christ said about hell and we do not want any to perish.

Once the door of the ark was closed the opportunity for escape had passed.

They are trying to warn everyone about the event which is coming. Like the door of the ark, there is a cut-off point to escape that event too. Don't wait too long.

God loves you.
