Last night I went to the beach and made a mark in the sand where the water reached. This morning I went back to check, and the sea level was a full 5 feet further back!

Clearly this means the sea levels are dropping at an alarming rate! Those damn scientists who are saying that sea levels are rising are ignoring the dangerous reality that sea levels are plummetting! What should we do about it?

Damn you and your devious questions.

How will Al Gore ever become rich enough to take over the planet if you keep foiling his plans?

Yes, it's the tides. Global warming is caused by the tides. There are great seas and oceans on Mars which NASA has kept secret and they're causing warming up there too.

Glad you don't live on the coast between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick! The Bay of Fundy waters can rise and fall as much as ~35 feet!

Watched 60 years, to make sure they always come back, but, I noticed that the same experiment worked for me!

I drew a line and about 12 hours later, the water was a whole lot lower, though the Tide was IN!

Are you tilting the earth globe, again?

My cup seems half full!

There is a lot of two-bit opinion here and few facts. First, sea levels are rising around the world, with the exception of isolated areas of mountain building and isostatic rise. (See the first link.) Global temperatures are also increasing on a worldwide basis. Some may argue the cause of the increase, but those who deny the increase do not have data to back up the claim. (See second link.) The sea level rise is believed to come from both the melting of glaciers and ice caps and the thermal expansion of water in the ocean (See the third link.)

You can not tell that way because of the tides. You would have to mark it at high tide just before it starts going out and return a month later when the moon is in the exact phase when you marked it.Hey I` from Canada and we just lost 3,000,000square km of permanent ice in the last 2weeks.Over have half of the Arctic ice is gone. Are polar bears are drowning. At this rate there will be no arctic ice or polar bears in just few years maybe as soon as next year.

Ah well... i admire ur indigenous observations but i'm sry to say ur not right... See, i am pretty sure that u did not keep the wind factor in mind when u did ur observations... more so, don't u think it's a bit tooo alarming to be true... u knw if that were the case, then we'd all end up thinking that sum1s pulled the plug at the bottom of some ocean! So don't let it get to ur head...

Take a few more measurements and then blend that data with other data (maybe beach crab carcass counts) and use that info to create a hockey stick chart. Then make a documentary and win an Oscar. After that, you will have our attention.

Hey, why not? This is how real "global warming" scientist do their research.

Now all you need is to have more people on this board agree with you, then you have a 'consensus' and proof that you are right!
