Does it all come down to morals? Are different cultures, geographic regions or countries raised with different sets and priorities of ethics? Ethics can be used to argue both sides of the debate, in different ways.

Thanks in advance for responsible answers. This is a serious question, I just want to know what others think.

Let me clarify... by "different" morals I do not mean that one is lesser or greater than another. Just different.

wild4gypsy and 4 kit - I said "priority of ETHICS", not ethnics.

Morals is part of it. Some have different morals and justify breaking the laws they don't agree with.

The REAL root is legality. Illegal aliens are violating our immigration laws.

Every country in the world has immigration laws. Different cultures, geographic regions, and countries ALL have immigration laws.

And every country enforces them. Period.

All ppl are raised with certain moral and ethnics But the words priority of ethnic doesn't compute.

What you seem to be asking is debating ones culture and how they were raised or where they came from to justify ones view on a rule of law of an others country.

What it comes down to is that if one gets a way with something why stop it if it benefits them and no one stops them.
Any rational person knows if you have to go to the length of sneaking into a place they are breaking a law.
It has nothing to do with cultural, ethnics or anything else.

i've got self assurance they're attempting to ward off the concern as much as available. whilst the marketing campaign starts, i've got self assurance the human beings that desire to place a hen in each pot, and upload a pig besides, will win the argument. because of the fact the federal government is doing those issues which will flow a super type of immigrants into the balloting inhabitants earlier the election, it would seem, the advantages would be voted for. there have been a super type of 'tricks', i do no longer know if we can ever see our will accomplished. it's going to be the 'political' will accomplished that's to perpetuate the celebration and shine the safeguard on the factor the wide-unfold public sees. One exciting trick.. which has curiously come and long previous very at the instant, grow to be the factor the place Mr. Bush refused to pay the cost of incarcerating unlawful extraterrestrial beings in California. There are no longer sufficient Border Patrol Officer on the line to regulate the border and the unlawful extraterrestrial beings land up in California, do a super type of crime, and land up of their jails. Mr. Bush's answer to the concern grow to be to shrink the cost of reformatory time to the federal government and not pay California for that incarceration time. --------------------------------------... there's a lot to fret approximately. there are various closets to do employer in too. I no longer have self assurance we administration the government, and that i've got self assurance that gets worse.

It's not a moral question at all. It's about entering a country legally. Going through the proper channels, applying for citizenship, WORKING for a living rather than asking for welfare and free medical care.

We spend so much of our tax dollars to fight illegals, arresting, processing, deporting them each year. This money would be better spent on other programs: fighting drugs, crime period, medical care for persons that do need it but can't pay and other things.

I know a few people that went through the process of immigration. It was a big hassle for them, BUT THEY DID IT. Now they're legal citizens of the US, entitled to all of the liberties and freedoms therein.

The other argument is the english language. This is the United States, english is the primary language. We have basically layed down our values and standards by allowing non-english speaking persons to stay here. If you want to come to this country, that's fine. Learn english!

How many other countries would print their official documents in other languages to accomodate illegals? Not a whole lot.

'nuff said.

No, I don't think that moral is at the root. I feel that the American public and working family is sick an dtired of these ILLEGAL Immigrants comming to this country and sucking off the government.

We pay taxes to support America, not ILLEGALS.

Americans are sick and tired of the crime, gangs, rapes and murders of these ILLGEALS. We have enought of it already with out them adding to it.

Americans are tired of the demands these ILLEGALS make, how they want to fly their flag over ours, how they want usto learn THEIR language. Hell, they came to this country, LEARN THE LANGUAGE!!! SPEAK ENGLISH

Americans are tired of having to pay higher medical costs because so many ILLEGAL use the ER's at hospitals as Dr. Offices because they can't pay for anything so they go to the ER and then skip out on the bills.

Americans are just plain tired of being abused and they want it to stop.

It's not about whether or not they are different from our culture. It's about whether or not their behavior by being here without permission is different from what our laws require.

Okay, so we have 12 million people violating that law. Why is that statistic so convincing when it comes to immigration when it isn't very persuasive when it comes to recreational drug use, or prostitution, or gambling? How about underage drinking, I be more than 12 million people in the US today violated that law at some point in their lives.

Do we have laws or not? That's the question.

It's part of it. There is a resistant for many the immigrants to assimilate and has angered the American Public.
Some of the hatrd due to the Mexican Caste system has shown up hear and antagonized the whites here. There is a lack of education in some regions of Mexico, and some of those in AMerica look down on them for it. I have alot more thoughts on this, but some might get touchy on this subject. It's difficult to discuss culture in this forum because people get easily offended. I just got a nasty E-mail because I discussed Machismo on a question.

I think you are absolutely right. It IS a question of morals. I don't, however, think that those from other geographic areas have less of a moral standard. Instead, I think that you will find both moral and immoral people in every area of the world. It's simply that in this case, the immoral want what they want when they want it and don't care who they hurt. I don't think all Latinos are morally lax...just those who choose to disobey our federal laws. It's the same with those from other countries who overstay their visas. They too are of low moral character. How lucky (sarcasm) for us that they want to come here.

I think it's simpler than that. It's just POLITICS.

For years and years the GOP has encouraged and exploited every kind of intolerance. Not just racism and 'nativism' but religious intolerance, homophobia, economic intolerance, intolerance against people who didn't speak English, etc.etc. They have tried to create 'threats' out of people who are a different color or religion or a different sexuality or who speak a different language. They have tried to portray the Democrats as the party of Black People, tools of the gay agenda, lovers of illegal immigrants, etc. etc.

In recent years, though, Republicans have realized that Hispanic populations in the Sunbelt states are growing at such a fast rate that soon they won't be able to win in those states without getting at least a goodly portion of Hispanic votes. So they are reaching out to Hispanics. This makes them look somewhat schizophrenic with half of GOP politicians still claiming that Hispanics represent a threat to our culture and 'values', still pushing 'English only' laws, wanting to ban Mexican flags on Flag Day, etc.

The anti-illegal immigrant position of the GOP is for political consumption only. It gives conservatives and Republicans just one more thing to be angry about, to blame the Democrats for. The REAL agenda of the GOP is cheap labor, and they know that a large pool of fresh immigrant labor is the best thing to keep wages down for everyone. The Republican leaders who scream the loudest about the illegal immigration problem are the ones who hire them as chauffeurs, gardeners and nannies.

It doesn't have anything to do with morals. The illegal aliens are criminals having broke into our country and are stealing services from the U.S. taxpayers. It's just that simple. Build the fence and kick them out.
