What a fabulous idea!
I would definitely go to this shop. The study of comparative religions has always been something I've found enjoyable. Have a star for a brilliant idea!
And if you should ever open such a shop, let me know!
EDIT TO ELITESOUTHWEST - that is a seriously good name for the shop!
I also agree that such a venture would encourage and increase good interfaith relations.

First off let me state that I am the Presiding Archbishop of our church, which is Christian.
Now I am really going to throw you off by my next statement. I would support such a store, and can not understand why there arent already stores like this.
In my studies for my Doctorate of Theology I studied at length the world's leading religions, and I could see right away that they are not all that different. Sure, their are differences in any religion, but their basic teachings and beliefs are very similar. They may have different names for God, Christ, etc., but they mainly have the same beliefs there from the beginning.
Over the past several thousand years there have been additional tachings added into their religions, which make them appear very different from each other, but I am not referring to those additions, I am only referring to their founding teachings and principles.
I am also the President of Paradise Weddings & Travel based in Honolulu, Hawaii. We offer wedding ceremonies currently for Non-Denominational Christian, Jewish, Catholic, Anglican, Civil, and Inter-Faith, ad are working on adding in Muslim and Hindu ceremonies.
I am also the Director of Interaith Outreach Ministries which has ministers and religious leaders from different religions working together on homeless projects, etc.
Everyone thinks and always says that people from different religions can not come together to support or work on a common cause because their beliefs are too different. This is an incorrect statement. The reason that many of them can not come together is because they can not let go of their beliefs that they are right and everyone else is wrong.
If more people could accept that everyone has a right to their own beliefs, and try not to force their beliefs on anyone else, but respect the person for having the beliefs they have, their would be less problems in the world, and less wars becauseno one would be trying to prove that they are right and God is on their side.
I think this type of store is needed. Perhaps then more people would be able to purchase materials from different religious beliefs and actually learn from them for themselves, instead of listening to what everyon else or the media says about the different religions of the world.

by torah you mean jewish bibles I assume?
I'd say the biggest problem would be that if you sold stuff for some pagan religions, it could be an issue, or at very least, exclude the very very observant from buying there. I belive there are bibical rules against buying things from merchants that also deal in idols and whatnot. some people would be prone to having a problem with it. some would not. (personally I wouldn't, but some might)

i'm Catholic. i think interior the Trinity and in an all merciful God who's additionally completly merely. No human can say who's or won't be able to Hell. basically God is attentive to. For that remember, we don't additionally be attentive to if every physique has long gone to Hell apart from the devil. So we won't be able to say if one faith is going thoroughly to Hell. The Bible says that we would desire to attain the father interior the direction of the Son. Jesus says: i'm the way and the actuality and the sunshine. Jesus grew to become into the Messiah despatched to redeem the international as promised. The Bible and the traditions exceeded down interior the direction of the a while because of the fact that then are the beginning up of the Catholic church. those are my belefs. i think of what you ought to do is examine the Bible and different substantial international faith teachings and determine for your self.

I think it's a great idea. In order to be a success, though, you'd need a really good inventory from each faith to which you sell, as well as people who are thoroughly knowledgeable in the faith to which they're selling (more likely, a different person for each faith).

A small store? Wouldn't that mean that the selection per religion would be tiny?
In that case, I'd probably feel better off going to a specialty store for a bigger selection.
Edit:
People like Greg H would also be a great reason to avoid the shop.

Well, I'm Muslim.
I think this would be an excellent idea. It'll help people of all different faiths come together and accept one another as not people of another religion, but as human beings. I would definitely shop at a store like this and would love meeting people off all religions.

Well, since Buddhists are non-theistic, there would be something for the nonbelievers, too.
I would love a place like that, since I like studying religions and comparing religious ideas. It might even be good for opening up some closed-minded people to other religious views besides their own.

I think it'd be nice, very convenient to buy all the books you need if you want to study religions
I'm an atheist, and here where I live I need to go to different stores to buy books about different religions, and sometimes I even have to order them
