A vaporizer is great. Remember putting vicks in to make the room smell.

And lysol.

FYI URI's are bad this year in the midwest Seeing a lot of it get real nasty Keep an eye out she may need to go back. We have had to use the zithromyacin for adults on the cats.

My kitten had a URI. The vet told me that they can flare up again if the kitten gets stressed out. This can be caused from changing something dramatic for the cat like cat food or litter. Or introducing a new cat or dog, or just anything that would make your kitten nervous. So the idea is to help keep her relaxed!

Just keep giving him the antibiotic. It is no different than having a kid really..just keep an eye out on your kitty and make sure he/she takes all the medication. My first cat got kennel cough when we first got him and he was on antibiotics. Took a week or so and he was back to normal.

I like Leslie's answer. You just have to think of what you'd do for a kid. Also, maybe not get the kitten all riled up and breathing hard might help too.

Warm up his food (canned). It makes it smell better, and cats with URI often won't eat if they can't smell the food. Make sure he has plenty of fresh water available and keep him quiet and comfy. It has to run its course.

A vaporizer helps loosen up the phlegm and the cat will be able to cough up the stuff in its lungs much easier.

Edit - Thanks Barky. I love that commercial. The guy is such a dork lol.
