To me, The Holy Spirit confirms the Holy Bible in my Spiritman, but denies the book of Mormon.
So? Are they the same Spirit?

fbjohn, When I was healed of a breakdown, it was when the Pastor prayed for me & the Holy Spirit filled me where I praised God in tongues & my hands went straight up to God. At home the Holy Spirit led me to toss a Mormon book I had in the closet, then to another book that had in it that the anointing I received is the Spirit of Truth and who will lead me into all truth. A similar verse would be 1Jn2:27. So? The Spirit anointing I received was the Holy Spirit of the bible. And the Spirit of the Mormon book is of a different Spirit.

pinkadot, That is why the spirit of the mormon book & bible is a different spirit than the Spirit of the Holy Bible alone, without the added doctrine. Read what Jesus thought about the other doctrines sneaking into His Churches in Revelation, to the 7 Churches.

No they are not the same spirit, the "feeling in t he bossom" can be defined as a mind control thing, if you tell someone they can feel this feeling, they will feel it either demonicially or thru their own mind (now I am sounding like an atheist trying to explain how healings happen...they just believe and it happens)(by the way the mormons have an atheist belief that the bible is not translated correctly because of years of tranlation and men taking stuff out)..thru their mind they imgaine this feeling, just like a testimony is basically the samething said over and over again until the person believes it. I have hear of other things tesified in testmony meetings like th elight in a person's eyes or a child talking to a parent thru her mind or other wierd things, and nice things like they thank God for their spouce, whom they love, but otherwise, its the same phrase over and over again.

That is an interesting question. For me it is difficult to descibe what I feel when the Holy Ghost witnesses to me. The best I can say is that it is peaceful and calm. It is hard to compare these spiritual experiences because they cannot be observed by others. The Spirit has testified to me that Jesus is the Christ, that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the word of God, and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I don't know why He would lead someone on a different path.

Well, as you pointed out "to you" the spirit confirms the bible but not the Book of Mormon....
TO ME, the spirit testifies of both. The Holy Ghost will testify the truthfulness of all things... and I know he has truly testified to my heart and mind the truthfulness of the gospel.
You can't say for one person what is right or wrong, you can only feel what is right for yourself. That is why we are encouraged to seek our own answers and develop our ownt testimonies, so each of us can have a personal witness that the gospel is true. I have received that.
That said, in my own personal experience, I have been to several other churches and the spirit felt there is NOT the same as at my LDS church... the spirit felt at the LDS church is different and better, full of truth and love. I am not saying those who are not LDS cannot feel the spirit, because I believe they can, that is a God-given right. BUT, I do believe the Holy Ghost touches the soul in a different way and those who truly feel it know the difference.

Have you even read the Book of Mormon? If not, then the Holy Spirit cannot testify to you if it is true or not. You must read the book, with real intent to know whether or not it is true.
If you read the Book of Mormon with the intention of finding fault in it, the Holy Spirit cannot testify to you that it is not true, because, well....you already made up your mind, that it isn't true, and are reading it for the wrong purpose.
But to directly answer your question---is yes, the so-called "burning of the bosom" is the same thing as receiving a testimony from the Holy Spirit. It's another way to describe the feeling we get, similiar to what Paul describes the fruits of the Spirit. But the Holy Spirit will not testify to something that accompanies the spirit of contention or that of mocking. In other words, the Spirit will not testify to a group that's out to bash or to find fault in a religious discussion.

Holy Spirit is God's energetic tension. it is a modern. it is given to ones of undemanding heart who're somewhat searching for and obeying Jehovah. we are to no longer remember on our own expertise yet pray for education and course from the only inspiring and writing the scriptures. merely because of the fact Jehovah inspired undemanding adult men of previous to jot down down the scriptures does no longer advise that guy "wrote" the bible. 2 Tim 3:sixteen,17. Many church homes don't have faith that Holy Spirit is the energetic tension of God, for this reason they remember on the translation of guy. If one and all trusted God's interpretation than we would all be understanding the comparable ingredient and worshiping the comparable God. feels like a destiny journey.
