Hi. It depends upon what type of crystal. Please join the K-9 Kidney diet group here on Yahoo! Lots of great information.

Generally, a homemade diet has been found to be the most effective for most types of crystals.

Yes, most vets carry at least one if not several brands of veterinary prescription diets that either dissolve or prevent crystals. The one you need to use will depend on what type of crystals were found. Please discuss this with your vet!

crystals in your dog's urine can mean a bladder infection. get it checked out.
