i know what you mean, I cant explain it, but its not popular to have a balanced panel on a talk show.. most of the sunday morning shows are the same.. this week w/ george stephanopolis is an example, the roundtable segment has 3 liberals and the host, who is a lib and 1 conservative..

doesnt surprize me about The View, Barbara Walters is in charge..

because it takes 3 liberals to outshout a conservative

because the viewer base is mostly liberal, having a conservative on there gives the show the conflict that libs like (like Jerry Springer)

because 3 liberals is equal to one conservative in so many ways

need more?

Well, for starters, why do you think its several libs? Could it possibly that your point-of-reference is so far to the right that a moderate is "liberal" to you?

From the clips I saw during the rosie fiasco, it appeared there was a staunch conservative, staunch liberal and then the rest were moderates.

Which is about how it works out in the real world. There are about 10-15% staunch cons, 10-15% staunch libs and the rest of us are moderates.

I don't think they asked whether they were liberal or conservative at the onset of their hiring. I think it just worked out like that. Personally, I cant stand Elisabeth Hasselbeck or her misguided conservative look on the world. But, thats her opinion, and this is mine! Go Whoopi

I must admit I've never seen the program and, based upon video excerpts, I don't feel I've missed much.
Seems to be a place for crabby women to vent their frustrations and prop up their waning self confidence.

It's called tokenism. So they can claim to be balanced -- if 75/25 is balanced. But... it's their show. They can go 100% lib if they want.

hasselbeck is such an idiot. if she was an intelligent person, someone who could articulate and defend her conservative views, with some merit and gravitas, then i wouldn't mind her. but she's a such a shill in the stepford sense...anything bush says is pearls of wisdom dropping from his mouth. no questions asked..

Because the media is totally liberal. Why does the media cover everything Republicans do wrong and twist Republicans words to be negative yet stand up for Liberals and never cover anything they do wrong?
