What is the mortality rate?

My mother in law had emergency surgery last night after it was detected that she had a leak in her colon from diverticulitis. She had part of her intestine and colon removed and now has a colostomy. She is in ICU and hundreds of miles away. I was wondering what the mortality of this producer was?
