God's intent for Adam and Eve was eternal life in the Garden which was like paradise. God told them what would happen if they disobeyed but, gave them the choice to love and trust Him enough to obey or not. They chose disobedience and to listen to Satan. This caused death, disease and destruction of mankind. God had told them not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil..He told them that they would die if they did. And they did and so do we.

God already had a plan, Jesus Christ. Those who will accept Jesus as their Lord and their Savior, will have the gift of eternal life. This is a second chance for mankind.

Because that is not the end of it. Christ died and his spirit left his body for a time, but then he was resurrected, spirit and body reunited. So it will be with all mankind. All will be raised from mortality to immortality. The spirit and body together become a living soul. Eternal life is then possible with God. We will still be who we are and receive the rewards God has prepared for his children. Why we have to go through this is to learn what it is like to experience life, trials, joys, sorrows, loss, and redemption. Such learning can only take place through our life's experience.

The soul returns to the place where God resides and then can decide to return to another body to learn more experiences. On the other side, there is no negativity, no adveristy. Coming back to Earth enables the soul to live and experience those things to learn, to grow, to empower the soul, to become a higher eternal being to be able to teach others.....

was not your heavenly father the same as you and I when he walked the earth? from dust thou are. to dust thou shall return.your soul is his breath that he blew into adam, to make him a living and breathing man. he was nothing but a ball of dust, from the earth, which houses a covering for his soul, which is the breath of the lord. which is why it is a sin to take your own life. did he not die, when he was flesh? on the cross. for you. what happens to the flesh when the breath leaves the body, which is a covering for the soul? eventually it returns to dust.

The soul dies, so that means the soul is not immortal.

The soul is the life of a person, and thats all it is.

think of it this way.

each lifetime is like a class in school. you go from one to the next to the next progressing. and improving and expanding understanding and knowlege.

its funny when people don't even try to find answers, and jump to the conclusion there isn't one.

or assume that its either the christian viewpoint or no God at all.

It was not intended to be this way. Because of Adam and Eves sin death entered the picture. But our Loving father has found a way for us to be with Him body and soul through the merits of His begotten Son that we may be resurrected

Oh, I know, so when you die you can go to heaven and give glory and praise to him forever and ever and ever. We were created so we can give god a big "pat on the back" for a job well done for eternity. See, he's really narcissistic and needs the constant reassurance from his creations that he's a really great god.

100 year old people look pretty bad usually, imagine what a 500 year old grandma would look like.
