I had a dream last night that my boyfriend cheated on me with his ex-girlfriend. I've heard that it means I'm insecure, which is true. But the feelings I had in the dream were so real (I was really hurt.) And I woke up feeling the same way. Now I'm paranoid that he's going to cheat on me, or already has. I've had dreams in the past that my boyfriend (at the time) was cheating on me, and he actually was. So it's hard for me to just ignore the dream. What do you think?

Your dream is telling more about your jealousy problem than his philandering. There was a cheesy but catchy Country song a few decades ago, "Let's give them something to talk about," as if they are going to gossip that it was happening, why not make it happen? If your jealosy was giving the boyfriend grief, then how much more grief will he get if he does what he is accused of? You may be pushing him to fulfill your low expectations. Then too, your dream could be your inner self screaming at you, "Dump this dummy!" Decide. If it was a dream, get over it and give the boyfriend the benefit of the doubt. If you are not going to get over it, then give the poor guy a break and break it off with him. Be honest, though. Telling him you don't trust him is one thing but being angry with him because he was unfaithful in a dream means he can't trust you. Sorry.

Your dream will go away once you understand that there is no such thing as cheating. You do not own and cannot control another person. We are at all times free agents who can do as we wish within the laws of our country. Commitment and fidelity are illusions of female control syndrome from which you seem to be suffering. Don't worry; be happy. You are also free to enjoy as many males as you like. Or females if you are so inclined.

its because u r insecure. so ur subconcious is conditioning your mind to take in the shock in the case it really happens (i mean if it really happens that ur bf is cheating on you). its a natural process. the mind does it to make you strong from the inside before the actual incidence happens. but what happened to you earlier was a coincidence. "you can learn from your dreams or you can forget them. but u should never depend on them." because they really dont have any solid logic behind them.
by the way, you know why i quoted that line? it is from a spanish film oculto. watch it. it is about a person like you who started believing her dreams so much. i would not tell u what happened to her. but it is really a must watch for u. you two have more than 90% in common.
good luck
