I would think that they know each other. They probably get together and have meetings, maybe take the sacrament (if translated beings need to) Then they go their separate ways. Somehow, I find it hard to think that these mean who were righteous enough to be translated are concerned with rivalries.

They used to hang out but some busy body from Homeland Security accused the 3 Nephites of being affiliated with the Gadianton Robbers, so John stopped hanging with them and eventually returned home to Zarahemla.

There is no rivalry and there is no hanging out either. They are engaged in doing good at all times. They are working for the Lord and are constantly anxiously engaged in doing good and bringing to pass much righteousness. Envy is not part of their personality package.
As for how much they do together or separately, no one can know that. I have heard many stories of one or the other or multiple visits being made. I believe that they answer directly to Jesus or the Holy Ghost to fulfill their assignments. They are led by the Spirit in all that they do and if a situation calls for them to work together, they do, and if not they don't.
My third great grandfather had a mysterious visitor when he came back from a mission and needed to go back to work in his carpenter shop. He had no tools. The stranger came along and in one night made a new set of tools for my ancestor to use. The next morning, the stranger disappeared without waiting for my ggggrandfather to arrange for payment. Was the strange visitor one of the Nephites or John? We will never know until we get back to their level of existence.

Engaging in rivalry between the Three Nephites and John is something an imperfect mortal would do--not those allowed to linger to preach the Gospel as Jesus Christ authorized.
Little is mentioned of their whereabouts except they, or some of them, may be in the "north countries." Documented events in the past have revealed of one white-robed man interceding between an impending war on the plains in the Middle East, but that was not a recent occurrence.
Any action or thought to be not of Christ will not happen with those four holy men, for Christ had ordained them to the mission that they had requested. Those four holy men are imbued with only the mission to carry forth the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations most in need. They are not to be contentious with anyone nor themselves.
For those wanting to learn of the origins of this information please read 3 Nephi in the Book of Mormon.

Did I miss that South Park episode. Or was that included in the " All about Mormons" episode. Season seven. Nephites ? Weren't they the Israelites that were sent to America. And what happened to the First Edition of the Book of Mormon, read from the plate of Lehigh. The one Lucy Harris, hide.

For the heavens there is no rivalry to see who can do the most good. Their motives are pure as a childs. They are very busy. All the other dispensations have had plenty of time, while we in the last dispensation are cruched for time. I don't think they have time to relax for very long.

Since there is a lot of work to do I imagine they are plenty busy as are those who "beyond the veil."
I'd be curious if they get "p-day" time
Rivalry -- only a good natured one.
I don't know is the point.

obviously a question only for those who understand what you are talking about.
We really don't know anything about them except that they are around. They probably meet on occasion, but you never know. I think we are counseled not to concern ourselves with them since we don't know anything and we have other things to worry about. But it does make for a very curious topic though.

I don't think they are in a competition to do good but I'm sure they are doing more good than hanging out w/ eachother. But I'm sure they do pass each other from time to time and are friends.

No idea. I would guess that they are probably acquainted with one another though. I doubt that they are consumed by any sort of rivalry with each other. :-)
