How can you be in the world but not of the world?

JUST AS HOW A FOETUS IS IN THE MOTHERS WOMB FOR 9-10 MONTHS.... IT SHARES EVERYTHING OF THE MOTHER STILL IN ONE WAY SEPERATE... BUT TIME COMES WHEN THE BABY COMES OUT TO LIVE ON EARTH. IT WAS IN THE MOTHER, A PART OF MOTHER BUT WAS NOT OF THE MOTHER.
SIMILARLY WE WERE CREATED AS SPIRITUAL BODIES AND WE ARE GONNA PUT ON IMMORTALITY AFTER THIS LIFE.... SO WE ARE JUST GONNA LIVE TEMPORARILY IN THE WORLD (LIKE MOTHER'S WOMB IS A PREPARATION FOR EARTHLY LIFE, THIS LIFE IS A PREPARATION FOR ETERNAL LIFE)BUT BELONG TO THE HIGHER REALMS.

That's a struggle each of us face every day, as we try to be the best we can be, but still live in the world. This is where faith in God comes in, and trusting that he will guide u. HE made the world, HE made u. So it's pretty assured that HE will know how to guide u in the world.

Just like you can be a traveler to another country. I am an American but I can travel to England, then I would be in England but not of England. A Christian realizes that they are meant for something other than this world, namely Heaven with God, and so they are just passing through. It is the idea behind citizenship in Heaven as opposed to citizenship with the world and where your loyalties lie.

A fish out in the salty ocean. It is not constituted with the saltiness of this environment. So much so that when you fish it out and desire to cook it you still need to add salt to give it taste.
This may not be the best example brother but it gives a small picture of what it is to be in the world but not of it.

Realizing also that the " earth" and the " world" are two different things will also help.
The earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof. This earth was created perfect to match the God Who created it.
Upon the fall of man and the switching of power over the earth to satan it became the " World" .. This satanic system that rules and governs it.
Being a christian in this sort of environment says something very amazing about the One indwelling us. He is able to withstand all kinds of environments and situations that this satanic system throws. We are not of this worldly satanic system, we are part of the Kingdom of the Heavens and as such we are the means for God to reclaim this earth for Himself. On this earth there is the satanic worldly system and at the same time, operating in a hidden yet dynamic way is the Kingdom of the Heavens.



When the Lord Jesus prayed.. " Thy Kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in the Heavens" He prayed for a way for God to be given back the rule of the earth through His Church, the "called out ones."

So today.. the world is on our backs.. constantly trying to lure us....trying to befuddle and drunken us, entice us with its downward current .. to withstand this we truly need to give our being to the Lord.. so that we can resist the downward trend that all the world is going in. We are like the salmon fish that swims against the current, not sucumming to its power because dear Brother Anil.. " Greater is He who is in me than he that is in the world"

Everyone has eyes to see and mind to think. Everyone sees but those who wish to be beyond this world don't keep in mind anything that is not useful. Useful means that which uplifts the soul and most of the things that are in this world like people, things, events .... they don't always uplift the soul. So if i want to be out of this world i will not allow anything of this world to influence me / to enter my mind.

You must be born again!

We read in God's Holy Law book the Bible:
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Psalms 51:5)
The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear. (Psalms 58:3-4)

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

We read in God's Holy Law Book the Bible in John 3:5-7: Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:44)

Be born a Christian, be born a Jew, be born a Muslim, be born a Buddhist, be born a Hindostan ect. you must be born again, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. See John 1:13

The Bible teaches that at the end of the world all the wicked will come under eternal punishment in a place called Hell, and this time may be very near. There is much Biblical evidence that points to the fall of 2011 as the end of the world.

We can be in the world but not of the world by detaching ourselves from the earthly pleasures and remaining steadfast in upholding good ethical values. We have to abandon the world, but we can not remain absolutely detached, to counter that we should develop a closeness to the almighty GOD.

we are in this world because god send us with a purpose but as we grow up unfortunately some loose track of that purpose and their faith too, that's when we are in this world and belong to it. some might not know what purpose we are here to do but we keep in touch with god, by doing that we are not attach to the materialistic and artificial way of this world instead we spiritually belong to god.

When you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, your real citizenship is in Heaven. So now you have two citizenships: On earth and in Heaven. So we are in the world (here on earth), but not of the world ( we are now set apart as citizens of Heaven. We belong to God). I hope this helps.

You are in the world because you are of the world .You owe the world for all that it gave you .so yu have to repay all that with interest and no one can cheat repayment or refuse to reurn the loan.
We canm from nowhere outside and so we go nowhre out of this world.
