WAT A JERK ! he should love you/like you for what you are right now - STAY AWAY from people who want to change who you are - do what makes YOU happy. im sure if you wanted your hair curly it would have been curly by now - tell him to hit the asphalt i bet hes the controling type. give me a break - if you want to try it out break out the curling iron and get to curling. but honestly he is wrong for trying to manipulate your natural beauty into something else.

Hon....being a mother of a 22 yr old daughter and a 19 year old son and the grandmother of a 3 yr old, lets just say I have learned so many things by doing hair of kids of all ages especially teenagers, both my daughter and son as well as their 50 best friends....

If your boyfriend is demanding you get a perm and gives you 72 hours to do it in, trust me when I tell you that he shouldn't be your boyfriend. Your hair should be your choice and yours alone unless you want opinions.

Having survived a divorced and 2 abusive relationships, his demands send up a red flag that you need to dump him. Abusers count upon controlling the victim. It starts small and spirals and before you know it, your trapped.

Since I don't know you or him his demands are at a minumum disturbing. I am absolutely sure his demands will get worse leading to an unhealthy relationship.

My best advice, if I could be 15 again, I am 5'6 with blonde hair, you are far too young to be settling for someone seeking control. Enjoy your teenage years because you can never get them back. Do what feels right for you. I don't care if he is the Captain of the football team, I would say you are beautiful and can do better. I think your old enough to realize that my advice will tear at you, just think about it and talk to others if you need too. You got your whole life ahead of you, embrace it, don't waste it.....

Good Luck.....

You know what kind of curls u get from a perm right? The really tight frizzy 80's looking curls. I got a perm when I was 16 and HATED IT, it took almost a year for it to grow out and looked terrible. It wasn't done wrong it's just a style best left in the 80's.

If you like it get it, if you don't, don't get it. It's not ur bfs decision. Ask him why he wants you to get a perm and see if he'd be willing to pay for highlights or something more modern instead? If he has a perm fetish I'd be a bit worried!

Your question is very confusing your jumping from one thing to another, what does playing volleyball have to do anything about getting your hair permed. Is he making you wear a skirt when and if you get your hair permed?!? Questions confusing but...
First, you shouldnt be doing it if your questioning doing it. Second he sounds like hes controlling and for only being 15 you dont need that in a relationship this soon.

LOL is this a real question? Do what you wanna do. Make up your own mind, make your own decisions. If you let a man tell you what to do NOW, in the future you'll be in big trouble. Oh as for the dress or skirt he won't even see it under the smock they put on you and he can't stand there in the way. Perms stink, they are bad for you hair. It's your hair, so it's your decision. Good luck!

Doing what your b/f wants is something you shouldn't do cause if you do everything that he wants you to do he is goin to start controlling you. Plus, a perm during volleyball team can cause a frizz. What do you think you should do?

How bizarre. Well, if you want it done then you for it, since you'll not be paying anyway, but don't do it if you don't want, because it sounds to me (no offense) like your boyfriend is a bit weird and this could be some sort of control thing. Make your own choices, don't let someone else make them for you.

YUK!! Perms are bad for your hair, plus they were in the 80's decade. Do they still do perms now?

Do you want this perm yourself. I would not recommend getting a perm because someone else wants you to.
