I had/have a pinched nerve in my neck and it was extremely painful and unlike any pain I had ever had in my life before that lasted for a good 2-3 weeks fairly accutely, and while generally not very painful anymore (about 2 1/2 months out from it) there is still a general weakness in my right bicep as well as some numbness into my thumb. It can be a slow uphill climb, however, I still workout fairly intensely and it definately helps, not hurts. Do slow, light weight, stretching exercises, and lots of them. I would recommend also getting massages and frequent hot baths as well.

Ah ha, honey. Now here you should get down at my feet in adoration. For I have your answer...... I used to be bothered with those things for years. What you need is a physiotherapist.

The exercise I do to get rid of them is sit on a chair whilst holding the seat with my two hands. [So my hands are horizontal to my bottom]. Yea. Then push down. Now take one hand [say left] and put it up over your head and grab onto the right side of your head. Then pull gently but with significant force. Pull your head over that way. With about 6 pounds of force [the force needed to lift six pounds of potatoes]. [It shouldn't hurt of course but it will stretch] Do the same for the other side. That's it. ist.

A chiropractor is the best doctor to see for this type of problem. They specialize in spinal problems. I'm enclosing a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

Go to a orthopedic doctor - - chiropractors will give you a massage and take your money but it's just a temporary fix...

How about going to a massage therapist or a chiropractor and letting the take care of it for you? A massage therapist can do wonders with this kind of thing.
