For people to have mis-conceived ideas about heaven and why God would want anyone there is caused by false teachings from apostate religions. The bible does not support these teachings.
Your assumption that the dead are in heaven is because thats all you have ever heard, but not tested from a scriptural standpoint. If you read Acts 2: 22-34 you will see that David did not go to heaven, so why would you think that a bunch of worldly people that put on a pretense of being good would go there?
The bible talks about a small group going and being with Jesus as a ruling class (Rev.5:6-10) but as for man in general when he dies he lays a sleep in death until he gets and earthly resurrection. John 5:29-30

The dead had their time and we are having ours. Why envy them? Not all the dead go to heaven, only those who believe in heaven and prepare their lives for it. God cannot force atheists to enter heaven and if they want to, they must cease becoming atheists. They would become now as Christians or perhaps, Muslims or perhaps, simply as believers. Heaven is the best. There is no point comparing yahoo with Heaven because yahoo is here and Heaven is there. In His time, we will enter Heaven. Meanwhile, our yahooing can help us go to Heaven because here in yahoo we are made to think of Heaven.

See u there!

Nice to see Red and Old Man of the Sea here, if it means that they have become Christian.

Envy is a waste of time for anyone, regardless of their belief system. As a Christian, though, I congratulate those who have finished, but according to the Scriptures I am encompassed by a great cloud of witnesses who are encouraging me to run the race with perseverence. It seems it would be poor sportsmanship to distract myself from the task at hand with envy, not to mention disrespect to the audience.

In a sense I envy them because they don't have to worry anymore about pain or anything but then I am glad I am still on earth because then I may be able to bring more people to Heaven with me when I do die.

I don't WANT to die, but I am not afraid of dying. I have a lot of work to do here on Earth, and the Lord will let me know when it's time to come home.

Those in heaven have completed their purpose on earth. I haven't yet. No, I don't envy them. I'll be there one day.
