Yes....we do have access to this power; but people r not going thru the full purging, purification, and sanctification necessary to perform these great works! We were born into sin...we still have smoke in our garments...but we assume as christians that bc we accepted Jesus...we can jump up and do marvelous works. NO! God will only use people who have sacrificed ALL of who they are...who tackle the inside b4 the outside! I know 4 a facy that it is possible; i am a witness! We must go thru the fire 1st......we can not jump out of the furnace!

If God talked directly to us in a loud voice from Heaven, someone would accuse us of having an elaborate sound system set up. Sadly, I believe the days of actually seeing God's power in such a way as to only come from Him are over. Not saying miracles are gone, they are just easier to explain away due to medicine, science, and so on. "Blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe." The power of the HS is what gives Christians the ability to carry on in a world that either doesn't care (best case scenario) or actively hates us (worst case scenario).
Have a great day (anyway, lol)!

Greetings Friend,
I like your question. I used to think the same way. I know that in the circles I ran we always used to talk about God's power: power to heal, power to raise the dead, power to convict 'sinners', power to do whatever was needed. However, looking at those things maybe we should be asking ourselves not where the power is, for it has never went anywhere. Rather, we should be asking where are the people who live their lives in such a way that that power could flow through? Will you be one of them? Will I? We both could be you know? Are you willing to be the kind of person God created you to be, the kind of person who works miracles? I know I am. Might I suggest that you start training today with A Course In Miracles.
sending love,

It requires total dedication and worship of God. To put Him highly and mightily above all things. The sad truth is Christians don't do this anymore. As the end approaches I think we all need to come together and forget about working and all of the material things in life and totally focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and pleasing Him. WORK for Him to earn our keep... In the scriptures it says that we should not worry about what we shall eat or having cloths, that all of these things shall be added unto us. This is how far Christianity has been dilluted. IMHO
God Bless and Great Question!

Hmm...that's tough. It says in the bible if we have the faith of a mustard seed that we can move mountains. Also, we can do anything in the name of Christ. I think too many Christians are just skimming by and not growing in their faith. We need to pray God sized prayers and watch Him work. Let's stop talking about it and go out and do something. I will try and pray for a miracle today =)

I'll tell you where the unadulterated power of god is. Ever see revenge of the Sith? Just after Darth Sidious kills Mace with his biggest blast of Sith power yet, right after Anakin cuts Mace's arm off, thus betraying the Jedi for good? The Emperor (Darth Sidious) yells 'Power. Unlimited Power." There ya' go, that what you are looking for. Hitler and Stalin had a hankering for it, too.

Holy Spirit does not appeal to the senses, it appeals to the heart of a person. The ones who really have it know this.

A newborn baby

"Non believers do not want you to convince them about your Jesus; illustrate His power and raise the dead."
That would be interesting. I won't hold my breath, though.

No one today is worthy to have or posses such a thing. Everyone is to greedy, and would use the power for their own benefit.
