Although all hope may seem lost right now, that's not the case. Life goes on. I think we all go through a time in our lives when we just feel like giving up and saying f*ck everything. But we all must be strong and fight through the hardest times of life. Life is a b*tch. But it is worth living. I don't know exactly what happened to make you feel this way, but you need to get it out. Talk about it. Let it go. Bottling it all up will only make you feel worse. No matter what obstacles life gives us, they are always conquerable. Be strong and hold your head up high. Each day is a new beginning. Each day is the start of your future. Don't let hardships bring you down. It's not worth the time. Everything happens for a reason. The hard things, the tragic things, the frustrating things...everything like that can make you stronger. You just have to look at things from a different perspective. When you do that you will know what I mean. Cheer up. Life is too short, live each day like it's your last. Things will get better. It just takes time. Hang in there.

Jake, listen up. You may have had your dream crushed for now, but that doesn't mean you can't still dream. Follow your heart and it will be a big help, but at the same time use your brain to guide you. I know it all seems fruitless right now, but you're young yet. Soon enough you'll be an adult. When that time comes you can take your own path instead of what others have mapped out for you. When you move on,on your own a whole new world will open up for you. Em-brass it, live it, you will be your own boss of your destiny. Of course someone will be your boss in the work force, but if you like what you're doing all the more reason to em-brass life, live it to the fullest. Have fun while you can as a young adult, which you are now, later will be enough time to worry about adult things. Act like an adult and show your parents that you can and will be able to take care of yourself now and in the future. I know that sounds like a tall order, but I know you can do it. You're stronger than you think. Just look at how you can talk to us out here in the q&a world. We're all like an extended family and are here for you when you need us. Also a little praying doesn't hurt either. If you need us we will be here. Be good, take care, and we'll talk again when the need arrises.

Make new ones, or try to salvage something of the old ones to put into new ones. What's done is done. Time to get back on the horse when you've finished mourning the present dreams. Give yourself some time and things will begin to look promising again. Not much else to do - it's never easy - life isn't easy! Hope you are feeling better soon.

Well, you might try not living in a dream world. Hopes, dreams, and desires are all motivations, but the world is reality and to deal in a real world you need to set goals, and you have to work toward those goals, attaining one just means setting another. So, the "dream" you thought you had, has turned into a nightmare....redefine what you want in life and go out there and get it. We learn from our mistakes or we repeat them over and over again.

That will happen. Welcome to humanity.

It happened to me, but I realized that most very successful men have all had setbacks and at times didn't know if they could go on. Henry Ford, Einstein, Lincoln, Bill Gates, Stephen King, etc etc etc.

Speaking of Stephen King, did you know that he got so depressed about his writing, that he once threw a manuscript in the garbage, and was going to give up writing? His wife pulled it out of the trash and convinced him to give it a chance... the book? "CARRIE."

If he had not written "Carrie," we wouldn't know who he is today. Now he cranks out million-sellers like they were nothing.

(NOTE: King may be a bad example, since he drinks a lot. But I think we can still learn a lesson from him...anyway, he's a writer... that's what writers do besides writing - they DRINK.)

from the sounds of it your dreams where another human!

here is what i recommend
get out paper or some sort of document and right out your current roles in life.
for example mine are. Sales assistant, painter, daughter, tap dancer, homemaker, decorator, driver, golfer, graphic designer, and the list really dont stop!

now think about it like this if one of my roles fail like i lose my job why should that role effect the other roles in my life???? it shouldn't if it does then i would need to get a hold of myself prior to acting out any role in my life!

now look at your roles are they what you want? if not only you can change that!
don't put all your eggs in one role either it's nice to have dreams and goals but don't place them all on one role!
sounds to me your dream was to be with a human NEVER have that with a deadicated human unless your married and even then it shouldn't consume all your roles in life!

okay so your dreams are crushed and i'm sorry for that but most of us have to go throught something like this in our life time!

What you could try is to reset your goals and focus on what you want out of life NOW not what you wanted.. and if your wanting a selected human your going to stay right wher eyou are !
as i stated list your roles that you want and set goals up for EACH role thatway when one is crushed you have others to keep going for!

it's hard so give yourself some time and dont be hard on yourself if you fall back into wanting a certian human or a certian job! just stay positive and check yourself with your goals!
they change all the time trust me!
you'll be going strong again in no time!
Give yourself some credit!
life isn't easy! '

i also have had many dreams crushed, shattered or laughed at. I just keep on going. when a door shuts a window opens it is our choice to pull the shade and give up or look out to see what is there to dream of next.
i hope you keep dreaming.this is the propulsion of life.

You will make new dreams, dreams are not reality, they are just dreams. When it is real you will know. Never give up on your dreams though, because a lot of dreams do become reality. Hang in there kiddo.

UHM....Without knowing anything? Pull yourself together and set yourself some small and more realistic goals that lead to a more enriching dream. It's not the set backs, scrapes, bruises and falls that shape and mold us. It how we get up, dust ourselves off and go back into the ring. Or, you can tuck your tail between your legs and hang a sign on your back that says, "Whipped." I think you can get up and find a new dream to go after.
