Dick,
An atheist does not believe in God. A pagan believes in both a God and a female Goddess, and believes it takes the natural balance of male and female to create life.
Witches are real and I am one. It is one of many spiritualities on earth and actually a very common one.But we are not like TV ones. We are just people who like to live in the country and live off the land, mostly. We believe in science and in helping people heal with natural plant medicines, fresh air and water instead of modern bio-medicine and, while we are not Christain, Jewish or ...? we do send out our energies , sort of LIKE Christians and others pray, but in in what are called "spells." We ususally light a candle and make a circle first and then try to send our energy to people who are sick..or to a country that is at war or even into the night sky, to try to heal the universe or to get energy FROM the sky to use to heal with when we can. We also believe you should do good things, because what you do is returned to you 3 times as strong as you send it out to others, so being good is returned 3 times as strong, but that being bad to people is also returned 3 times as strong and who wants THAT!?
Naturism is interesting to me. I have read quite a bit about the philosophy , mostly in my 20's,and the parts I can bring into my life, I do. -And the parts I cannot, I just set aside.
I hope this helps you!-Lynn

Atheists "know" there is no god.
I think Christians invented the term pagan to describe any worshipped deity[s] that was not "through Christ"... thus a pagan religion is not Christian.
Maybe naturism is used in some pagan faiths... mostly I think people around here just don't want tan lines.

Atheists do not believe in any god(s). Most also object to anything supernatural or paranormal.
Pagans believe in getting naked and prancing around worshiping trees and grass and the moon, waving knives etc.
Quite a big difference.

Atheist - No god
Pagan - anything that's not the christian god
Agnostic - can't prove the existence of anything (they uphold a huge contradiction)
