I really don't understand the point of Christianity. It's the most ridiculous load of bull that people still buy to this day in a modern society. I think that the fact a religion exists revolving a Jewish zombie who was his own father who can walk on water and floated into the sky from his grave proves how dumb our society is.

LOL, dude, they're all going to be "praying for you" now. And condemning you to hell. Because you've pointed out how silly the whole thing is.

But they love you. Don't forget that. Even though they'll also call you a fool.

Oh, and they'll tell you God exists, even though, of course, they have no proof.

How tolerant and open-minded of you!

If Christians said something similar about Buddhists,Hindus ,Sikhs,Jains or Atheists,I am sure that you would be offended and consider such a Christian ignorant ,arrogant and contentious.

Look in the mirror.

I am a believing Christian and I am an educated Modern, thank you very much.

By the way, Christians do not believe that Jesus was His own Father. Unfortunately, you show yourself to be ignorant of Christian basics and you are in no position to lecture or "inform' anyone about Christianity.

Why not find out what Christians really believe?
There are many Christian Apologetic sites on the Web.

It is hard to convince a delusional person that they are delusional. Even if a time machine were invented and it was proven that Jesus never even existed, they would persist in their beliefs and claim that Satan was decieving us.

Contrary to what one of the posters above said, you need to believe a whole lot more than "God exists" to be a Christian.

Here's a list:
1) The Christian concept of God isn't contradictory and is correct
2) There was a historical Jesus
3) This Jesus was martyred.
4) Jesus was a clone of God.
5) For some reason, an omnipotent being had to clone his self and then kill his clone to change a rule that he was responsible for making up in the first place. Sounds more like a mediocre Schwarzenegger movie than a God to me.

The belief persists because it is hard to accept that you are living a lie. The Matrix dilemma comes to mind. The cast majority of Christians would rather continue living in a lie than see the world for what it really is. They disagree with Socrates when he says,"The unexamined life is not worth living".

It also has to do with power. The church has grown too powerful to allow that to happen.

You asked ... "Why does Christianity still exist?" I want to
know ... "Why Do YOU Care???"

You said that you do not understand the POINT of Christianity.

I think THAT is the real issue here. You should not reject or
dismiss something that you don't understand.

Now ... I am NOT saying that you HAVE to understand ... You
may chose NOT to understand ... That is YOUR choice. All I am saying is if you are NOT open to learning more about
Christianity ... And you have already decided that it is "a load of bull" ... Then fine ... You are entitled to YOUR thoughts
and opinions. I respect your right to have them. I do not
condemn you for having your own thoughts and opinions. And I do not condemn or judge you for disagreeing with MY
thoughts and opinions ... You can even question MY FAITH!

(I don't question MY FAITH .... BUT, You certainly can!)

The ONLY thing I ask is that you afford ME the same courtesy and tolerance that I afford you. Don't condemn or
judge me for what I believe in. AND I will do the same unto
you!!!

If you ever decide that you DO want to learn more about
Christianity ... You sound intelligent enough to do so!!!

Similar points apply to all religions. The religion is a way of life, a lifestyle. The great thinkers felt it necessary, at that time, to found a religion and mold the society for betterment. Now, with the progress of Science, lifestyles and logic of thinking have changed, but religious ideas have not changed. It is time to have a lifestyle beyond any religion...Gee Waman

The point of Christianity is to tell people they need to be saved and that Jesus is the way to eternal life.

Like Judaism, Christianity has not usually done a good job of showing the love of God for man. But this does not mean that God is at fault, it is us humans who fall short.

But even though we do a bad job, God is still with those who seek to follow His word.

Millions of people today have a promise that God gave to us in the Bible, that He would give us the Holy Ghost and power.

God to a few Pentecostal and Apostolic churches and you will hear and see God with His people.

It exist because it is a fact, actually, what you just said is exactly just what the Bible says you would say,

1st Cor. 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Christianity is the one true religion. That may sound awfully dogmatic and narrow-minded, but the simple truth is that Christianity is the only true religion. Jesus said that He alone was the way to the Father (John 14:6), that He alone revealed the Father (Matt. 11:27; Luke 10:22). Christians do not go around saying Christianity is the only way because they are arrogant, narrow-minded, stupid, and judgmental. They do so because they believe what Jesus said. They believe in Jesus, who claimed to be God (John 8:58; Exodus 3:14), who forgave sins (Mark 2:5; Luke 5:20; 7:48), and who rose from the dead (Luke 24:24-29; John 2:19f). Jesus said that He was the only way. Jesus is unique. He was either telling the truth, He was crazy, or He was a liar. But since everyone agrees that Jesus was a good man, how then could He be both good and crazy, or good and a liar? He had to be telling the truth. He is the only way.
Christianity is not just a religion; it is a relationship with God. It is a trusting in Jesus and what He did on the cross (1 Cor. 15:1-4), not on what you can do for yourself (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Buddha didn't rise from the dead, nor did Confucius or Zoroaster. Muhammad didn't fulfill detailed prophecy. Alexander the Great didn't raise the dead or heal the sick. And though there is far less reliable information written about them, they are believed in.
The scripture is right when it says in 1 Pet. 2:7-8, "This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, 'The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone,' and, 'A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense'; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed." (NASB).

"The following probabilities are taken from Peter Stoner in Science Speaks (Moody Press, 1963) to show that coincidence is ruled out by the science of probability. Stoner says that by using the modern science of probability in reference to eight prophecies, ‘we find that the chance that any man might have lived down to the present time and fulfilled all eight prophecies is 1 in 1017." That would be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000. In order to help us comprehend this staggering probability, Stoner illustrates it by supposing that "we take 1017 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They will cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up one silver dollar and say that this is the right one. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would have had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man."
Stoner considers 48 prophecies and says, "we find the chance that any one man fulfilled all 48 prophecies to be 1 in 10157, or 1 in 10,00,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 000,000,000."

How brotherly of you to insult millions of people you've never met. Did you get your jollies today?

First of all - "Jewish zombie" may sound pretty and tickle your little tongue when you say it, but it's still nothing more than a twisted mockery that ultimately makes you look stupid.

And second - After his resurrection Jesus walked and talked with more than 500 people over a period of 40 days. Many of his enemies were so shocked that they did a 180 and became the first Christians. Some were even killed because they refused to deny what they saw. THAT is why Christianity still exists today.

Why does Christianity still exist?

Because God exists. Jesus Christ exists. God exists. The Holy Spirit exists.

Why does atheists exists? Because God exists. Jesus Christ exists. The Holy Spirit exists.

Why do atheists believe things other than God? Look at Satan. Why did he not believe in Jesus? The reason are similar. However, some others don't know Jesus.

Well, it seems to me that it still exists because no one has yet to disprove the existence of God and that Jesus didn't die on the cross for our sins.

2,000 years and still going strong, baby.

By the way, it was a Catholic priest who came up with the theory of the Big Bang.

God and science can co-exist. The former is best at answering why, the latter at answering how.

Take care.

You seem to be a product of your culture.
Have you never asked yourself whether God exists or not?
Obviously, if He does, He certainly would have shown Himself, or revealed Himself to us, right?
He has. It's all in the Bible.
I believe the Almighty God that IS can do anything He chooses. That's not hard to believe.
I guess you can look around at whatever has taught you, and ask yourself what has caused you to doubt His existence.
