I worked night shift for years and when I first got off work I just wanted to sit down and have some coffee or a glass of iced tea- then I wanted light dinner type foods about an hour later..soup and sandwich or leftovers from the family supper (that I fixed the day before)

Wow, that's a hard one for you since you really aren't supposed to eat anything an hour and a half before you go to sleep if you don't want to gain weight. Your metabolism basically stops while you are sleeping.

So if are planning on going to sleep right after you eat, I guess it would be a good idea to eat some sort of fruit or vegetable. Definitely no carbs or fatty foods.

If you are planning on staying up a couple of hours after eating, I would go ahead and eat a normal meal and not worry about it.

Good Luck!!!
