Thanks for the question. I've heard it before but this time, for some reason, it shed a new light. My answer has always been that the Bible says a sinner (which is all of us) has to accept the blood of Christ to be saved. That's still a Biblical answer, but with your question it dawned on me that infants and young children have not reached the age where their sin separates them from God and, as I understand the Bible, are saved. This may be the same for people who've not been reached by Christians. If they haven't been told the truth, how can they follow the truth? Of course, it still gets back to the fact that God is a just God and He'll do what's right but I'm gonna have to study up on this one.

That's a question no one has the answer to except God. We know two basic things:

1) Jesus commanded Christians to bring the good news to all parts of the world so that all might have a chance to be saved.
2) The Bible strongly implies that when babies and children die, since they were not old enough to make a conscious decision about Christ, they go to heaven.

Number 1 suggests that anyone who hasn't heard the Gospel is lost and going to hell. Number 2 suggests that God is merciful enough to withhold punishment from those who don't know any better. Perhaps there is no set rule, and God judges based on each individual person.

We are all accountable 4 what we know... Every1 is presented many opportunities to develop a relationship with the 1 and only True God! HE shows HIS power, HIS love, and HIS beauty 24/7! If we decide to reject HIM-which people do (more than they accept Jesus) that was their choice of where they spend eternity! The great thing is GOD never gives up on us!

All people have a chance to hear of God, read Romans 1. If they refuse to acknowledge God in creation then God does not owe them
anything. They would rather make a false idols of stone or
worship animals and insects. My God is a Just God and all
have a chance. What about you? Do you believe that Jesus
Christ is God?

No, biblically ignorance is not an excuse. All humans are sinners and therefore cannot enter heaven without the grace of God. Salvation is based on your relationship with Christ.

Christians are called to spread of news of Christ to all ends of the Earth. If there are people out there who have never heard of Christ, it is because Christians are not doing the will of God.

Jesus suggested the daddy is larger than I (John 14:28). Jesus admitted that something he did, wasn't of his very own intiative, he suggested he could no longer do a factor without it coming first from his Father (see John 5:19). So any salvation we get by way of Jesus of course comes from His Father Jehovah - the theory source of all existence and easy-weight and that Salvation. for example: think of you're very sick. A researcher creates the drugs and sends a qualifed physisian to manage it. Who do you thank? the two. who's the source of the therapy? The Researcher. Do you acknowlege the healthcare expert that administered the therapy? of direction! - see a million John 4:14 this is basic, its biblical, its reasonable.

I think some need to know what the word "hell" means first.
Hell in the Bible is translated from the words “the grave,” “the world of the dead,”...so yes you and I and the unbelievers and those who never knew Jesus will go to hell.
BUT....the Bible talks about a Resurrection from the grave(hell) a Resurrection to life and a Resurrection to judgment for all those in the grave(hell)

Well the bible in Rom chap 1 says that God makes himself known to all men. God will judge those that never heard the good news of Jesus by what they know. If a man in deep dark Africa knows that it hurts him if someone steals form him and he steals from someone else God will judge him on that knowledge. God judges the heart.

People who have never had the chance to hear about Jesus, will be judged on what they believed, and be judged on that.

I.e. - if they knew stealing was wrong but still did it, they would be guilty. Same for every other rule they knew.

According to the Catholic faith, if a person is not given the opportunity to hear about Jesus, he may still enter the kingdon of heaven, assuming of course he lives a "good" life.

It is the rejection of Jesus that leads to hell. One that does not have the opportunity to hear about Jesus is unable to reject him.
