How are you serving the Lord?

Question

As an Evangelical Christian, I believe our primary purpose in life is to love God and serve God. Each of us has a different way of doing that. What is your way? How are you serving the Lord?

Both Ways......!

(Eze 2:7) And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

AND....

(2Timothy 4:1-to-4) I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

(2Ti 4:2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

(2Ti 4:3) For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

(2Ti 4:4) And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, helping people in need, teaching the ones who want to learn more about Him. I'm grateful that the Lord has given me this opportunity. I never realized how much people will take a verse out of the Bible and bend it to their liking, or how much people that have some interest, lose it because of how they have been treated. Simply put, I share with them The Word of God.

I serve by trusting in him completely.. I talk to God every day. He is the first I turn to every Morning and the last every night. I worship him. I teach Sunday School in my rather large senior apt. building. I say the coming every Sunday. I pray at Dinners and whenever people come to my apt asking for prayer. I pray for people all of the time even when they don't know it.

By living the lifestyle I learn about: everyday my life is about worship. I do this through telling people about God, witnessing & testifying about the change He has done in my life, and just being an example of how one can live as God says you can.

By being a good man in deed and in thought. By being your self and by believing that God is here to help us out and that we are not alone. I'm a Catholic but I don't necessarily think that attending mass is more important than saving a life.

JESUS Christ says in Bible NT- Matthew 20:26"....whoever wants
to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave-just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
I read The Eternal Life in Heaven mean to serve each other.
I feel I am served by JESUS Christ, teach me i have a soul too, not only body. My soul can live an Eternal Life in God, if i whant to live my life about the rules of God so beautiful explained by JESUS Christ.
When i don't know God, i don't know anything about my soul, I was very selfish, i was afraid by death, i whanted many material things.
Now My Lord JESUS Christ opened the eyes of my soul,
and i understand that my soul is empty , I understand that God is Eternal, True, Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Help,Power, Light, my Friend, all which mean a nice life, and so many what i can't be from my mind(ratiune), i must learn to use my hart, the place of my soul. I ask JESUS Christ to come in my hart to, for i can live in true, in love, in peace,.......in God.
When Jesus is in my hart, my soul , Jesus does the good things in my life. There are days when i forgot Jesus, and than
i do bed things (i let the evil to use mine mind ) for which i must ask Jesus to forgive me. So JESUS Christ is serving me, i cry for that, because i can't serve Him. There are day when i help men, Jesus said when you give a glass with water to other men, you give to Me that glass...or i like to speak about Jesus Christ, those are the facts in which i think i serve Jesus Christ, i love Him very much, is my life, The Savior of my soul. Bless my soul JESUS Christ for ever.

by treating everyone with love and respect but not being a doormat

also telling people about god in a nonforceful way

also praying everyday and reading my bible once in a while to truly find out what god wants for me

i attend church every sunday and tuesday

Easy.. just do whatever He told us to do, and leave whatever He prohibited us to do. Maybe, it was easy for me just to say like that, but in reality, it is so hard for us to really obey Him.. but at least, we have to try as much as possible to live our life according to His guidance.. And don't forget to be sincered in all the good deeds that we do.. that's how I serve my Lord.. God knows better.. :-)

As a Bahai we are required to independently investigate the Truth, which means we need to read the writtings of every religion or faith. Including my own

Next we are required to teach our faith,

So I host Ruhi Classes and Study circles in my home,
Childrens Classes for our Bahai Children and Virtues Classes for our Non- Bahai Children in the Community
Living the Life
Home visits to our older Bahai's and inactive Bahai's
or to people interested in learning about the faith
Prayer daily,( talking to god)
Meditate Daily( listening to god)

I try my best to live as he asked and to do good works when ever I can. I do not always succeed but I try which is what he asked of us. I pray and thank him every day for sending his son to die on a cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
