well, it sounds to me like you're trying to play a Playstation 3 game on a Playstation 2 system. You can't do that. You need a Playstation 3 to play a Playstation 3 game.
EDIT: you all are ridiculous. especially the person trying the PS3 game in the PS2. if you try a disc thats not ps1, ps2, or dvd in a ps2, that is exactly what the screen says. how smart do you have to be to think that you can play a ps3 game in a ps2???

positioned that's a nicely ventilated area. Vacume it no greater desirable than as quickly as a week, do no longer use an entire powered vacume, use a pc vacume or mini vacume. do no longer do the "fan try" in case you have been doing that, and your PS3 nevertheless works, you're very fortunate, because of the fact regularly that would smash it, and regrettably, even with the undeniable fact that your PS3 remains working, you have in all probability shortened this is existence. in case you preserve a PS3 in a ventilated spot, gently vacume it a pair of times a month, and wipe the dirt removed from it, and don't do the fan try, ever, then it won't overheat. I actual have had my 60GB from launch, from time to time that's on all day long, with distinctive human beings using it, and it has on no account overheated or had any problems in any respect:)

That's a smart way to tell Sony to go to hell. So what, if Sony had released PS3? I'll just get the games for PS3, save some money and quitely play PS3 games on PS2!
Sorry, man, you can't play PS3 games on PS2. Nice try, though. Two thumbs up for an idea!

If you dropped in that is why. DONT OPEN IT. Take it back and use your warranty. If it is a PS3 then its not a year old yet and you can have it replaced, regardless whether you dropped it or not. Just don't say you dropped it or they might give you a hard time. Just say its not reading discs properly.

Playstation 3 - putting Playstation 2 game in? Hum, just think about that for a second.
And please, spellcheck your questions - for a mom your English/punctuation is terrible.
